Chapter 20: Back to the Future

Saturday October 26th 1985

The sun was shining through Chris' window and the bright light of the sun was what woke him up, he then got up out of bed, remembering the events of the previous night, Doc's Time Machine, him and Marty travelling back in time to 1955 for a week and getting to know his parents as teenagers and getting them together to make sure they were born, it sounded like a dream, maybe it was a dream, a very intense dream at that, Chris got out of bed and changed his shirt, he came out his bedroom wearing a Huey Lewis and the News t-shirt and black denim jacket, and Marty came out of his room wearing the same clothes he had the previous night, they went past the living room and into the kitchen, they looked again to find the living room completely different than how they remembered it, In fact the entire house looked different, all the furniture which used to be old, vintage and bland looking, now looked nice and rich, the shelves used to have some dorky Knick knacks now have crystal glass knacks, they thought they were in the wrong house, until they saw the familiar faces of Dave and Linda sitting at the table eating breakfast.

Dave was sitting at the table wearing a suit and Linda was not wearing her glasses, but she wearing a white shirt and pink vest with a name tag on it, they looked different to how they saw them

If Paul calls me, tell him I'm working at the boutique late tonight Linda said to Dave

Linda first of all I'm not your answering service, second of all somebody named Greg or Craig called you just a little while ago Dave said

Which one was it, Greg or Craig? Linda asked

I don't know, I can't keep up with all of your boyfriends said Dave

Hey, what the hell is this? said Marty confused

Breakfast Linda answered

Did you sleep in your clothes again last night? Dave asked Marty

Yeah, what are you wearing, Dave? Marty asked referring to Dave's suit

Marty, I always wear a suit to the office Dave answered

Are you guys ok, had trouble sleeping last night? Linda asked

No, we're fine, Linda what's with the pink vest? Chris asked

Come on Chris, you know I wear this vest when I work at the boutique said Linda

You sure you're alright? asked Dave

Yeah they both answered

Suddenly their parents walked in, and they looked different than how they last saw them in 1985, George now longer wore his dorky glasses and nerdy clothes, he instead wore sunglasses, red shirt, white dress pants and a blazer, and as for Lorraine she no longer looked like a depressed alcoholic, she instead was bright, cheerful and happy, and she looked just as beautiful as she was when she was 17, George and Lorraine came in from a game of tennis with one of the neighbours, and were having a fun conversation about needing a rematch with them next time they played

I think we need we need a rematch said Lorraine

Oh a rematch, why were you cheating? George asked

Hello George greeted his kids

Good morning said Lorraine

The shock of seeing their parents, made Marty and Chris fall off their chairs, but soon got up and marvelled at how great they looked

You guys, you guys look great! said Chris

Mom, you look so thin Marty complimented his mother

Why, thank you Marty said Lorraine
