You know what's one the most surreal thing in the world?
It is when you all sit by the seashore as the sun sets and talking for hours with the best people. It really feels peaceful and tranquil, a calm moment away from the stresses of life.
The breeze blowing softly in our face, the sound of waves crashing against the sand and rocks, the smell of salt in the air.
We talked for hours about our lives, sharing stories and experiences, and finding comfort in each other's presence. The seashore talk with my them was a ludic outing, as we took in the breathtaking views and the sounds of the waves, hand-in-hand.
"Yuan, kumakanta ka ba?"
I was taken aback when Wesley asked me that. Paano niya nalaman? I mean, I never told him that I do love singing and I do it as my hobby just like sketching--its not a big deal, really.
"Oo, yun"
I stared at the wide horizon "I guess I did sang that song. The second day after I came back here, I guess?"
"Pamilyar ka kasi talaga" Mari stared at the horizon as well "If that was you, I just want to say that. . . that your voice is very nice"
And with that, I remembered her telling me that same adjective years ago.
"You should join Miss Campbell's choir! Your voice is so nice! She would love you to be part of it"
I still remember how cute she looks like when she said that. We we're both freshman at the time, where confusion about love is real and when feelings then developed.
I want him to feel special today because this guy right here was the best part of my childhood.
That's what I like about Wes, he knows how to make other people feel 'fit in'.
