Yara's POV
I really can't still believe that my dearest mother would arrived at that exact worst moment. That damn brother of mine, hindi man lang ako sinabihan na nasa pilipinas na rin pala pati si mom!
"Yara!"
I was surprised, but my eyes brightened when I saw a face that I also missed.
"Nana." I mumbled with a bright smile on my face, she immediately runs towards me and gave me a warm hug.
"Na miss kita!" mangiyak-ngiyak na sabi nito.
I just chuckled, "I missed you too, Nana."
"Marami ka naman segurong pagkain, hindi ka naman seguro nalilipasan ng gutom sa limang buwan na wala ka sa tabi ko diba?" sunod sunod na tanong niya bigla.
Natawa nalang naman ako nang mahina, even mom, I heard her laugh behind me.
"Nana, you know your alaga, she isn't responsible enough, and surely, nalilipasan yan nang gutom for all those months." mom said.
Nana just pouted, so I just wrapped my arm around her shoulders, "But the owner of my place is a good person, I was living in their apartment peacefully."
"Talaga?" Nana said and I just nodded.
"Sandali, hindi ka na ba aalis? Hindi ka na mag tatago? hindi mo na naman kami iiwan? hindi ka na naman magtatago sa'min, diba?" sunod sunod na tanong niya, "Kailangan kong ayusin yung kwarto mo! Sandali, dito lang kayo, aayusin lang namin ang kwarto mo." Nana added as she immediately runs towards the kitchen's direction.
Natawa nalang ako as both me and mom went to the living room.
"Prepare yourself, your dad will arrive in any minute." mom worriedly said.
I just simply nodded as I sat on our couch, I wandered my eyes around the whole room, it is already been a while huh.
I never really thought that they would find me this easy, and this early. Five months? Five months of freedom were not really enough.
But at least they arrived at exact time we're I will need their little help. Just look after what happened, watching Andrea and her dad's expression are worth it.
After what happened at the department head's office, mom immediately brought me back home, at naiwan naman si Ydwen sa school to take care of everything.
"Your dad's here." mom suddenly whispered as she immediately run towards the front door.
Agad naman akong napatayo mula sa pagkakaupo ko at nakatingin sa wall that separates our living room and the hallway na papunta sa front door.
"Hi, hon. How's your day?" rinig kong malakas na sabi ni mom.
"Tiring as always." And I heard the deep voice of a man that I haven't heard for months.
Shesh, kinakabahan ako, I am worried what dad might say once he see me.
I can hear their steps, an it makes my heart beats like crazy, double na ang kaba ko.
I flinched as soon as I saw dad's figure.
"Dad." I mumbled.
He stopped as he looked directly at me in the eye, I don't know if he was surprised or what, agad na napaiwas nalang ako ng tingin.
"I'm sorry." I mumbled again.
Even though, I really don't want to go back home, hindi na natin to mapipigilan, I don't have a choice but to apologize 'cause I am sure they hated me for what I did.
Ikaw ba namang mag paalam na mag babakasyon lang sa Pilipinas pero hindi na ma contact after just a week, then nag withdraw pa ng two million pesos. I am sure, hindi lang sinasabi ni mom, but they're disappointed.
The atmosphere is really awkward, walang may nagsasalita while I was just looking at my feet, nakayuko lang at hindi matingnan sina daddy.
Then suddenly I heard footsteps.
"You brat." I flinched when I heard dad uttered, and I just want to glanced at him, but I was surprised that he's already in front of me.
"Dad...." mahinang bigkas ko.
He sighed, "I missed you, sweetie." Then suddenly embraced me.
I was surprised, nagulat ako sa biglang pagyakap ni dad at sa sinabi niya.
"I missed you so much, sweetie." Dad uttered while hugging me.
My eyes suddenly started to shed in tears as I hugged him tightly.
"I missed you too, I'm so sorry." I mumbled, voice about to shattered and eyes been shed in tears.
"Where have you been!" dad worriedly asked at saka siya kumalas sa pagkakayakap sa'kin while still na nakahawak sa balikat ko.
"I was really worried, thank god you finally showed up." he said.
"I'm sorry, I promise that it won't happen again." I mumbled.
Dad sighed, "Make sure of that 'cause I will send you back to US." he said.
"Dad! Please no." I heard mom just chuckled after what I said.
"I won't! Your brother told me everything." sabi niya naman.
"You know that he already found me?" tanong ko naman.
"Why didn't you tell me." rinig ko namang sabi ni mom kay dad, natawa nalang naman ako.
"He did said that he found you already, but never told me where you are. He told me that you don't want to go back to US. You won't ever show your self to us once we force you to go back." sabi ni dad.
"But, that wasn't the reason why she left, right?" mom suddenly said kaya napatingin ako sa kaniya.
"I know that." dad said again, kaya napatingin ulit ako kay dad.
"But, I won't change my mind." he uttered again.
"Dad!" I couldn't believe it, they know about the number one reason why I left home, pero itutuloy parin iyon ni dad!
"No way." I said as I went to the couch.
"I won't force you to go back to US but in exchane you will accept the engagement, think also of this as the consequence of your stubbornness, you left home and made us worry." dad said again.
No way, sana talaga hindi nalang ako nagpakita, pero sino ba namang inuuto ko, mahahanap at mahahanap naman nila ako pag gustuhin nila.
"This is for your own good, Yara. Try to meet and know your fiance, I am sure you will learn to like him, wala ka namang boyfriend diba." dad said.
Narinig ko namang may tumawa sa likuran nila kaya napatingin ako dito, and only to find out that Ydwen's already here.
"You can't escape, sweetie, we all freeze your cards after you withdraw millions again." Ydwen said and laughed.
"Tch." Napairap nalang ako at hindi na sila tiningnan.
"Ready your selves, we'll be having dinner outside, I will just call someone." rinig kong sabi ni dad and also heard his footsteps.
Hindi man lang ako pinakinggan, he didn't even accept my reasons, didn't even listen me! Nakakainis!
"Let's go, Yara." mom suddenly said, "We will celebrate your birthday and your comeback." she added.
"Ew cheap." rinig ko namang sabi ni Ydwen, "Hahayaan mo lang ba na dinner lang ang celebration ng birthday mo, Yara?" sabi niya at umiling iling pa, sinamaan ko nalang naman siya ng tingin.
Mom just chuckled, "We will have your birthday party next weekend if you want." she said and wink at me. I just pouted.
I don't want parties now! I want to escape this fixed engagement!
