Chapter 5 - Academy

I really was about to sleep more if only the maid didn't knock to wake me. Even though my body is so tired from the event yesterday kahit umupo lang naman ako, I have to get up early and join them for breakfast.

They dolled me up and when I was done, ushered me to the dining place. Like usual, puno ang table ng sari saring pagkain. I sat beside Lyko and we began to eat.

Just as I was about to finish my meal, the door opened. Lahat kami napatingin doon. As far as I know, walang ibang nakakapunta sa bahagi na to ng palasyo except if they are invited.

"Your Majesty." Princess Cerina Hestins greeted and bowed.

"What brings you here, Cerina?" The King asked, baffled by her sudden appearance.

Sino ba naman ang hindi magugulat? It's way too early for someone to go places.

"I want to visit my best friend." She smiled and looked at Lyko.

Pretty sure that they're not best friends.

"Have you eaten?" Tanong ng Queen.

Matagal bago sya nakasagot. Don't tell me pinag isipan nya pa ang isasagot?

"No, I haven't yet." She smiled.

Siya lang ata ang kilala kong gumagala ng alas sais ng umaga at di pa kumakain. That should be your priority, right?

She was given an extra plate. There's a rule that is being applied when there are visitors; When the queen finishes, everyone should too. And they must arrive earlier than the queen.

But this one has guts.

Hindi rin nagpasabi bago dumating.

Bahagya akong napailing. The queen must be very close to her family for her to be lenient with the rules. But I cannot overlook her disrespect.

I excused myself after I finished my meal. Nagtanong si Lyko kung okay lang ba ako so I reasoned that my head aches. I find it rude to leave when they're still eating but the queen can pass this, right?

Dumiretso ako sa kwarto at naglock. I have a schedule later to visit the university. Bukas daw sisimulan ang test, kung anong kapangyarihan ang mayroon ako.

I just hope that I do have a power para naman magkasilbi ako. I heard stories about how they conduct the test and I can say it's weird.

What if walang maging result? Will I be completely useless for them? Ibabalik ba nila ako sa dati kong mundo or will they let my haunters kill me?

Bumuntong hininga ako at pumunta sa balcony ng kwarto ko. Mula dito ay nakikita ko ang ilog na naghihiwalay sa amin ng mga ordinaryong tao sa labas.

The water looks serene. The blue water looks like it's shining, almost crystal. It reminded me of Lyko's eyes last night. The way he stared at me as if he was trying to drown me.

We continued staring at each other until we reached my room. He put me down and instinctively, my hands landed on his arms. I felt how firm and hard his muscles are. God, his face looks innocent but his body? He can crash anyone.

Just like before, he stood outside my door. Inalis ko ang kamay sa balikat nya at iniwasan na tumingin muli sa mga mata nya. I've noticed them before, but I appreciated it a lot this time. Ngayon lang ako nakakita ng mga matang kagaya sakanya.

"Thank you." I managed to say despite the awkwardness slowly forming.

"You're welcome." He said.

I looked up to him and asked, "Why do you always keep your distance from my room?"

He chuckled, showing a dimple on his right cheek. Mukhang nahihiya sya.
