I usually wake up early kaya buhay na buhay ako nang kumatok ang mga maid sa kwarto dala ang breakfast. I just ate whatever was served to me. When I was done, they came back and took care of me.
Inayusan nila ako mula ulo hanggang paa. They made sure they scrubbed every inch of my body. And then, they presented different types of ball gowns in front of me. Ako na raw ang bahalang pumili.
Ball gown isn't really my type but I guess I have no choice so I settled for the simplest gown among them. Hindi naman siguro yun magtatagal.
Oops! Ang larawang ito ay hindi sumusunod sa aming mga alituntunin sa nilalaman. Upang magpatuloy sa pag-publish, subukan itong alisin o mag-upload ng bago.
They also did my hair into a huge bun and attached accessories on it. Naiisip ko na baka sumusobra na ang suot ko dahil sa sobrang palamuti na nakadikit sa akin.
When they brought me a mirror to see myself, it dawned to me. I'm gonna be someone very far from my usual self. I have never imagined that I'd be like this, a princess, a wife to a stranger.
And worse? I'll be lying to everyone forever.
And I can't do that.
I tried to smile. Ang ganda ko ngayon but the fear I'm feeling makes me sick. Bakit sa lahat ng rason na pwede nilang maisip ay iyon pa? Bakit di nalang namin sabihin ang totoo? Lying has never been my forte.
Napailing ako. I pressed on my gown to fix the imaginary crease. I'm nervous. How many people would be out there to see me? How many people am I gonna fool?
Napatingin kami sa pintuan nang may kumatok. One of the maids opened the door and it revealed a dashing Lyko on his white and gold suit. I tried not to look at him with awe, sobrang gwapo nya. He looks so clean, elegant and a gentleman.
He just stood outside of my room and smiled at me.
He saw that I was ready, "Let's go?" Kiniling nya ang ulo.
Tumango ako.
I walked towards him and it made me appreciate his appearance more. He is like shining in my eyes right now. God, I must be going crazy for saying this. But honestly though? Sya siguro ang pinakagwapo sa lugar na to.
He offered me his arm and I took it. Sabay kaming lumabas ng palasyo at may naghihintay na kwarwahe sa amin. Gaganapin daw ang introduction sa arena sa city kaya kailangan namin ng masasakyan.
Nasa unahang karwahe naman ang mga magulang nya. I felt bad because they waited for me.
We were silent the whole ride. Hindi namin kasabay ang magulang nya kaya mas lalong tahimik. He's not the type to initiate a conversation. Pasulyap sulyap lamang ako sa kanya.
The ride took almost an hour before we reached the place. Hindi pa man kami nakakahinto ay naririnig ko na ang mga tao. They're cheering for this family.
That's good news. It means this family is good to them and is good on doing their duties. I plastered a smile on my face as the door of the carriage opened.
