Just a very short update.

(°°°)

To live a peaceful life is considered a luxury for me. For someone that has experienced a lot of misery and worst parts of life, I just want to become normal and average. Someone who does not have a power to hold, a title to upbring, a curse to live, an image to maintain, a prophecy to fulfill.

How awesome would it be to stroll the cities of Leejure without having the fear of someone attacking you because of your high status? Or to wake up in the morning and stay a little bit cuddled in your sheets because you don't have a full schedule.

Or to sleep peacefully at night without the bothering thoughts of winning the war. To eat lavishly on foods that you can afford yet the meal is well eaten because the conversations are normal.

I would love to have that someday. Or even in my dream.

"Do you like it here?" Lyko asked as we watch the sunset before us.

Have I told anyone that I like sunsets? Sunset is a symbol of peace, of rest. That the sun may have shone all day but it still tires itself and rests.

I smiled, "Yes. A lot."

"Gusto mo bang manatili rito habang buhay?"

Nagkatinginan kaming dalawa.

"Kung may pagpipilian lamang ako." Banayad kong sagot. "But we don't really have a choice, do we?"

He stared at me and even without answering I knew he agrees. For the greater good of the people, we can't have the luxury that we wanted.

"Mama!"

Lumingon kaming dalawa sa biglang sumigaw. A little girl on her pink gown came rushing towards us while holding a stuff toy. She almost stumbled on a rock protruding on the ground but lucky enough to balance herself.

Her golden brown hair shone and so does her smile. Oh, to be a child is a bliss.

"Aunt Risha burnt Uncle Yi Shan's clothes!"

"Why did she do that?" Tanong ko.

"Because Aunt said that Uncle was being annoying again."

Tumawa kaming dalawa ng asawa ko. Those two never stopped fighting ever since. Palaging nagbabangayan at nag-aasaran.

The warm wind blew and everything started shifting. It's like I was in a whirlpool and everything around me changed into a pitch black canvas. My smile immediately faded.

The ground I'm stepping on to suddenly opened. A loud scream escaped my throat as I was falling endlessly.

Panaginip.

My eyes scanned the ceiling of my room. Just a dream. It's just a dream yet I feel so disappointed. I was close to feeling sincere joy and happiness.

My heart started hurting again.

Was that Hades' way of encouraging me?

Nang mahimasmasan ako ay bumangon ako. I feel more determined now that's why I'm gonna proceed to my early morning routines.
