Chapter 13 - The Party

D-day of the party.

I have attend parties before but not enough to be called a party goer. I still prefer to be tucked under my sheets watching dramas. I love the comfort of my room, the silence and the only pain that caused me was when Doctor Burke ran away.

And now, a lot of pain has caused me and I miss my own definition of comfort. And the pain I'm feeling drains the energy out of my system. To witness my mother's death was painful, but to know she isn't my biological mother was worse.

And it confuses the hell out of me. Who are my parents then? Is my mother slash guardian an Agreassine? Why did we end up in another place, Earth?

I wanna know.

But I'm not sure if knowing thr truth about me will keep me sane or crazy.

"Sinabihan ko ang mga kaibigan natin na dito mag-ayos bago pumunta sa kasiyahan." Sabi ni Lyko habang nagkakape kami sa teresa.

I nodded.

The party will start at 8 and will end whenever.

"But Risha can't come and so is Isaiah. Marami raw silang iche-check sa ganapan bago magsimula."

"So Anrys, Franco and Yi Shan will be the only people who'll come here later?" Pagsisiguro ko.

"Yes."

"Have you asked permission from the queen?"

"I did last night. She approved of my idea."

"Won't it be a hassle for them? Mas malapit ang ganapan sa kanila kesa rito."

"They didn't mind."

Tumango ako at uminom sa kopita. It's 7 in the morning and I got nothing else to do but wait until it's 5 so we can all prepare. I stood up when I finished my coffee and went back to my room to change.

Nang matapos sa pagpapalit ng pangjongging ay lumabas ako. Pagbukas ko ng pintuan sa kwarto ko ay bumulaga sa harap ko si Lyko.

My breath hitched, "Oh God!" I exclaimed.

He smiled coyly, "Sorry. Nagulat ka ba?"

"Hindi naman masyado." I answered, laced with a little sarcasm.

Tiningnan niya ang kabuuan ko. His stare went from my head down to my toe and it made my knees wobble. The way he scrutinized me made me uncomfortable, like I was naked.

"Aalis ka?"

I nodded.

"San ka pupunta?"

"I..uhh, Magj-jog lang." Alanganin kong sagot.

Ngumiti siya and it was like a signal for me to be back in my reality. Tumayo ako ng tuwid at napakamot ng ulo.

"Okay, then. Ingat." And he left.

Tumango ako at tinuloy na ang plano. He's really starting to have a weird effect on me which is confusing, a lot! Hindi ko 'to naranasan kahit kanino.

He's so weird. I am weird around him. Hays.

Winaksi ko sa isip si Lyko at ang iba ko pang mga problema. I jogged until my sides hurt from running and I was sweating so hard.

"Hey, can I borrow a one of these?" Anrys asked and dangled my earrings. "I forgot to bring my earrings. Nahirapan akong hanapin kasi minamadali ako ni Yi Shan."

Tumango ako, "Sure. But just a piece, though?" Nagtataka kong tanong.

"I'll just try if it suits me." At tumawa siya.
