"What happened to your face?"

Wala sa sariling napahawak ako sa mukhang may kaonting galos, "I fell yesterday." Tumawa ako sa alaalang pumasok sa isipan, "I got so carried away riding Morpheus that I lost my balance."

Ngumisi si Risha, "You've been doing that for quite some time. Mahirap ba?"

I shook my head, "No. It's easy for me especially when I have a great teacher."

"Lyko." Makahulugan siyang ngumiti.

I nodded, "Yeah."

A few days had passed and all I kept doing was ride Morpheus around the field or near the palace. Lyko and I would race with our own horses and he always wins.

Parang naging bonding time namin ni Lyko ang pagsakay ng kabayo kada hapon, pagtapos ng klase.

"Sam!" Franco came running to us with a wide smile, "I have a good news!"

"What is it?"

"The committee reevaluated the proposition of using swords in trainings." He said, "They agreed!"

The three of us squealed in pure joy and excitement upon hearing Franco's news. See? I was right, the committee should reflect on their decisions.

Oh well, I'm excited this day. The news made me a lot more happier and set me in a good mood. Mabilis akong nagpaalam para dumiretso sa klase.

Now, our swords will be given to us. Since the new schedule of sword trainings wasn't applied yet, we have to be extra careful carrying our instrument.

Amir, in his usual self, is punctual. Behind him trailed five men in shabby clothes. Probably the blacksmiths because they carry with them a bag.

We formed a line before our coach to receive the sword. I was feeling the excitement of my fellow trainees as we waited.

"A sword wields no strength unless the one that holds it has courage." He gave me the bag with my sword in it.

I bowed my head and took it with both hands as if it was a fragile thing. We all stood in rows and columns, and when we were given the signal to open the box, we all did in unison.

Napasinghap ako sa nakita.

The handle of it is like a sculpture of a woman in a blindfold. When I hold it to, it seems to fit my hands perfectly. As if the sword was meant to be made solely for me.

What sent me more in awe is the body of the sword. It changed color from pitch black to bright metallic red to the tip. And the tip... It could pierce through anything or anyone.

Inikot ko iyon at pinagmasdan lalo. This is beyond my expectations! The design was so intricate and eye-capturing because of its color.

"Show us yours first, then we'll show ours."

We are gathered here at our usual hang out spot and brought our swords. Hindi ito kailanman nilabas ng kahit sinong trainees dahil para saan naman nila gagamitin ito? Isa pa, baka makasakit sila ng iba dahil hindi nila alam kung paano ito gamitin.

I told them the last time that we'll show our swords to each other and they all agreed.

"Okay, then." Sabi ko at kinuha ang brown na box.

Nilabas ko ang espada. It reflected the sun's light as I twist it around in my hands. Even the weight of it is just enough for me to carry.

"Woah. That one is so cool."

I seconded to Yi Shan's opinion, "I know right." I turned to them, "Show me yours."

And they all opened their own boxes and exposed their swords. Each of them are in different designs and colors. Even the size of it.
