"I'm sorry but I don't know how much longer he has, ma'am."
"Oh, it won't matter soon! That man said he'd do anything for this child."
With a smile on her face, the young lady held her terribly weak baby.
"You'll be okay, little one!"
A young man burst into the room suddenly. He had a chalice in his hand.
"Open his mouth, I'll give him the Elixir!"
"You won!!!"
The young man's fists were bloody from the Elixir Brawl. He on the other hand looked mostly unharmed. He was a monster, a wrangler feared all over the Desert Continent. He held the chalice to the baby's mouth.
"Drink kid, drink!"
The baby slowly swallowed down the Elixir. His body jolted and went limp for a second. Then suddenly the room got warmer, and the baby's eyes shot open, and little fires replaced his pupils.
"My first son, chosen by Krysus. We have to hide him now!!!"

Ash sat alone in his room. He was an orphan child whose parents had dropped him off there he was told. He heard his father was a great wrangler but had broken some rule to save his life as a newborn. Ash was a loner, and often didn't play with the other kids. Ash was a fighter at heart, and his Elixir Power and wrangler blood were two huge advantages over them that made it unfair. Ash played with his fire, learning the most intricate ways to use it. He could form trees, flowers, and even dragons. The other kids often watched from outside of his door. He knew they were there and would show off a little for them. Secretly, Ash a savior in their eyes. He could beat up grown men with ease, and since the orphanage added to the taxes of the Eastern Sands dwellers, he had to prove it repeatedly.
"Ash!!!! Help!!!!"
"What's going on out there?"
"It's two nasty looking wranglers!!!"
"I'm coming!"
Ash ran out and the kids cheered as he ran up to challenge the wranglers. Ash jumped and spun in the air, hoping to land a flaming kick. The wrangler grabbed him with one hand, holding him in the air. With his other hand, he aimed his pistol right at Ash's nose. His partner had his sword drawn at his throat as well. Now that he saw them, they both wore the same jacket, black leather with flames embroiled at the bottom.
"W-who are y-you?"
"Oh, sorry kid didn't mean to startle ya! My name is Midaco, and this is my friend Aux!"
"Wait?! THE Midaco and Aux?!"
"You've heard of me, have ya?! Well, we're the real deal!"
"Why are you here?"
"We got a mission to kill a very dangerous sheriff!"
"Cool, can I help?!"
Midaco looked at the orphanage director, a young, pleasant looking woman. She nodded in approval.
"Alright kid but promise me this, you gotta be careful, and ya gotta stay strong! I'll make sure you come back in one piece, but you gotta do the same for me kid, got it?!"
"Got it!!"
"Now let's go kid!"
Ash ran behind the two wranglers, raring for a fight! They walked for nearly an hour until they hit a dark, muggy patch of woods.
Suddenly, a man rushed at them madly! Ash threw a huge two-handed fire ball at him, and Midaco followed with a shot to the head. Aux jumped in front of them with his sword drawn.
