They all stood in a large opening. Trista convinced them to follow her there so they could minimize any possible collateral damage. Medikus stared directly into Kruise's eyes, and Kruise into his. Everyone was silent, even the wind stopped as if to avoid disrupting the two young wranglers. The other three watched intensely, waiting to see who would strike first.
"I finally get to see you fight! Let's see what you've got, little brother!"
All of a sudden, rain began to pour from the sky in buckets, replacing the beautiful blue sky with ominous grey clouds. Medikus smirked at Kruise.
"So you're a rain Trigger, this should be fun!"
You could hear the thunder roll as Medikus's eyes came alight. Medikus's whole body began to absorb lightning strikes straight out of the sky, and bits of that lightning sparkled around his body. He slowly reached behind him to unsheathe his sword. Kruise dashed forward wildy!
"Don't underestimate me, Medikus!"
It was like he disappeared in an instant.
"Shit! Did he teleport?"
Before he could react, Kruise found himself flying through the air. Upon further analysis, he realized his jaw had been broken, as well as a few ribs. The pain rushed his body as soon as he realized he was injured, and he coughed up a massive amount of blood. The metallic, bloody taste was bitter in his mouth, as he remembered Miss Trix's words regarding the strongest wrangler in his generation.
"This guy isn't real! He ca..."
It looked like ten of him flying from all different directions. Kruise felt the wind of them all go by, but they all seemed to miss on purpose. As they passed, Kruise noticed a man flying down from above him. The man was muscular but lean, and seemed to be surrounded by black lightning. The man grabbed him, and landed, causing a huge cloud of sand to surround a good portion of the area. As the sand settled, the rain stopped, and Kruise could be seen slumped over the man's shoulder. The man was tall with a toned body, and he wore black pants and a purple, sleeveless shirt that seemed to cling to his body, showing every muscle he had. He also wore a black cap loosely tied around his neck with a short, golden rope. He had pitch black eyes that seemed to be speckled with small lines of pure light itself.
"Master Igneous!", Trista exclaimed.
Medikus stood just a few feet in front of him, and sheathed his sword, realizing this was the man they all came to see.
"P-put me, put me down. I have to finish this fight!"
"Sorry kid, but it would seem that the youngest son of Midaco already landed an embarrassing final blow on you. You've lost this one kid."
Just as he said that, all of Kruise's clothes, minus his jacket, fell to the ground in shreds. Ash, Trista, and Dormias' jaw's all dropped simultaneously. Not even one of them had a clue of what Medikus had done to his clothes or better yet, how he missed only Kruise's jacket.
"To think, you're already close to being fast as Midaco, and nearly as skilled with that sword as Aux. I'm even more impressed than I thought I'd be! You've even got your dad's odd sense of humor in a fight. You three over there, listen up! What you just saw is the level of speed, power, and precision needed to make it out of my training alive. Medikus, can you please explain how you beat your opponent just now?"
"It was quite simple really, after evading his sloppy attempt to rush me, I side stepped, and landed a blow that sent a lightning current through his shirt, shredding it without putting a scratch on his jacket. I followed with an uppercut, and used my speed to shred his pants mid air. Put simply, I'm too fast for you as you are now, Slayer Kruise, so whatever moves of my dad's or Aux you saw and replicated, has zero effect on me, because you're not the originals."
