People gathered from all over to see him. Ash and Trista took it the hardest, and cried and screamed, crushed by his untimely death. Kruise and Dormia tried to console them but were barely able to hold themselves together. Natura sat to the side, holding the babies, with tears streaming down her face. She was in total shock. The wrangler army knelt before their immortalized leader, all of them sniffling. The entire content mourned his death. They'd go on to rename Oasis, the Oasis of Medikus, and the glass statue of his last fight would be named the Crystal Ocean of Eternal War. The kindness and love Medikus lived with was returned in full to him, and his name would live on forever.
Without him, the people would never unite together the same way they did. Itero spoke to the crowd, through tears of his own. He told them how Medikus raised and guided him, and how he taught him to always fight for peace. And he stressed that they needed to keep that peace and enjoy it as Medikus's final gift to them. But unfortunately, peace was never meant to last. As the 5 Greats Lights lost their ace, a new wave would take the Continent by storm, and plans to go forward would be debated endlessly. And two cousins would clash, each believing their philosophy would lead the Desert Sands to maintaining that freedom. And they could have never been more wrong.
