The Brothers of the Mist stood in front of their massive army of over fifty thousand men. Every last one had a unique and deadly power granted by Acidus's new and improved Omnilixer, the very man made concoction that gave him and his brothers their power, as well as all the former Great Eight. Both their numbers, and their overall individual strength was the greatest it had ever been. Behind the brothers stood the Fearsome Four, all layered in robes. Nobody knew who they were exactly, but they knew that to gain such a title from Acidus, they must've been truly frightening. Acidus spoke.

"Finally, it's time!!! Time to crush the wranglers for good!!! We are the truly powerful, the ones who will rule over this continent as we please! We kill because we want, and we humiliate anyone who tries to put a leash on us! And as you all know, nobody was closer to ending our reign then the infamous Maniac Midaco! We now prepare to battle his son and his army of wranglers in about six months, the man people are convinced can do what his father couldn't. And that's exactly what we want! In six months, we kill Medikus, and we'll exterminate all of his men in one swift blow! And with his death, the hope and will to disobey and rebel against our authority will die with him!!! Now, who's ready for war?!!!"

The men roared in support, many sticking the weapons in the air. Acidus lifted his hand in the air, and the crowd grew even louder and more aggressive, like a bull stuck in a cage, waiting impatiently to destroy their opponents. Acidus knew exactly what he was doing. Even he knew that his army needed the extra motivation to match up with the Five Great Lights and their army.

The Brothers of the Mist sat in their own private meeting room. Acidus had worry written all over his face. Purto smirked, completely oblivious to his brother's concern. Emortus seemed very indifferent about the situation, and sat there calmly.

"I hate to say this, but I believe I underestimated Midaco's brat. Which is why I believe we may have to team up to beat him. And if we plan on having any men left, we'll have to make our battle with him quick."

Emortus spoke.

"I'll be enough for Medikus. Whereas he is seen as untouchable, my power makes me unavoidable. Although I feel that we fight on the wrong side of this fight, I know I'm already too deep into this fight to quit now. So if it's your will for Medikus to die, then I'll make sure it happens, even if I have to go out with him!"

"Thanks Emortus, but I care about you too much to let you fight that monster alone. Knowing him and his vendetta against me, he's probably planning on fighting us himself anyway. So we'll prepare to face him as a team, and increase our odds of victory."

Purto looked confused.

"So we aren't the strongest anymore?!"

"When it comes to that kid, not even close, except for Emortus here. And even the rest of the Five would push me and you to our limits in a one on one, and possibly beat us. Which is why I've put so much effort into making the Fearsome Four just as strong as us. Trust me, I may have underestimated them, but I also over prepared for this battle. Losing isn't an option!"

Acidus stood up, and walked towards the door.

"Be on high alert. I'll be mobilizing our troops within the near future. Medikus could attack at any moment, and getting caught off guard is not an option either!!!"

Emortus walked down a long corridor in the Sheriff's headquarters. He walked into a room on his right at the end of the corridor, and he was greeted by the Fearsome Four. They kneeled before him, and removed their hoods out of respect. They were a set of quadruplets, all with dark olive color skin and menacing red orange eyes. It was two brothers and two sisters, and they all had athletic body types, having been worked to the bone by Acidus.

"Amina, the Telekinetic. Corpus, the Iron Body. Cor, The Blood Manipulator. Asina, the Animal. As you four know, you'll be a key part of our victory in this upcoming battle. Your assignment will be to kill four of the Five Great Lights, while me and my brothers concentrate on the strongest of the Five, Medikus. Amina, you'll be fighting Slayer Kruise. Corpus, I want you to fight The Golden Child, Ash. Cor, you'll be battling The Wise Goddess Dormia. And lastly, Asina, you'll face Terrifying Trista, the Queen of the Wranglers. Prepare yourselves, this will be the toughest fight that anyone on both sides has ever faced, and I believe you guys already know how Acidus feels about losing. So make sure you're ready!"

Emortus walked out of the room, leaving the Four to marinate in the severity of their assignment. Even they couldn't deny fearing the Five Great Lights. But if any sheriff outside of the Brothers of the Mist could do it, it was them and only them. In the coming months both sides would train religiously, making sure they were in peak condition to win their inevitable battle. There was only one question left. Would evil continue its reign, or would justice finally prevail? Either way the ending of this war began that day, and bloodlust from both sides flooded the entire Desert Sands, making people uneasy. Even Emortus, who deep down wanted justice and peace, began to let his very own evil side show. He muttered to himself as he walked back down the corridor.

"Let the bloodbath begin!"
