"So I heard this shit hole of a hospital treats wranglers. Now who would dare defy me like that?!"
The room went silent. A young man with a sword looked up from his bed, looking unimpressed. He wore a black leather jacket, with flames embroidered on the bottom. His sheath of his sword mimicked the design sleekly. A baby had just been born in the room next door. Nothing could be heard but her soft cry.
"Who the hell is in charge here?! I want answers damnit, and I want them right now!!!"
The sheriff drew his guns and aimed them towards a random woman. The man with the sword lept into action, slicing both the man's guns in half before he could fire, and letting his blade rest against the man's neck.
"This can be settled at a later time, but right now that newborn girl back there doesn't need to witness her first gun fight. Please, leave peacefully."
The Sheriff looked at him closely.
"Wait a minute, you look familiar, where do I know you from swordsman?"
"I'm simply a passerby who needed a place to rest, this sword is only for protection."
"With that kind of skill?"
"I wouldn't flaunt my weapon without knowing how to wield it."
"Even to that extent?"
"I'm something of a perfectionist you might say."
The man winced a little. The sheriff looked at him unsure.
"Well I'm sure you've got your reasons. Farewell, Perfectionist."
The man's stare turned cold as the Sheriff walked out. People started murmuring.
"Wait, you're Aux, the Perfectionist."
"Damn, figured me out."
"Excuse me?"
"Everyone, exit through the back, now! They'll be coming back!"
"As long as they don't bring that guy..."
Just then he heard gun fire starting. He ran out to see none other than Maniac Midaco himself, fighting off what seemed like never ending Sheriffs.
"Well look who finally woke up! Rise and shine Aux!"
Midaco shot three Sheriff's who were running in a line.
"Ah, my good friend Maniac Midaco, the man who slaughtered the entire first wave of Great Eight Sheriffs by himself . So did you come to steal some more of my credit, or to nearly kill yourself again?!"
Aux relieved a Sheriff of his head as he got too close.
"Ah don't be like that, you let me beat you to half of those kills."
"And the other half?"
"Those were personal, you know that."
"Even now, you just can't give it up, can you? You know you aren't the same!"
"When we were kids we made a damn oath! Why would I quit now?! I still got breath in my body and that's all I need. It takes blood, sweat, and tears to face these monsters and I knew that back when we met!"
"Every doctor you and I know, and everyone else that knows you Midaco, we all told you to hang it up! You've done enough, and way too much of it by yourself! We want you to quit for your own good!"
Just then the Great Eight Sheriff of the South, Reaper appeared in the distance, charging down to greet them with a fight.
"Look Aux, I told you, I'll be fine! A real soldier stays on the field until he wins or until he dies! So I won't hang it up until I take Oasis, or until my head rolls! And right now it looks like we've got another one of those Great Eights on our hands. Now, who are ya fighting, me or him? Cause I'll take out the both of you, and you know that!"
"Please, skill wise, you're still a rookie to me. But since there's obviously no talking you out of fighting, let's go! I'll lead!"
"Fine, lead the way partner!"
As the two ran to battle the Great Eight, the little girl was being snuck out of the back door. The girl inherited an Elixir as she was born, because just as her dad had fought and won it, he died from the injuries before he could drink it. It was Midaco and Aux's mission to get it from the temple to the child. Like always for those two, their mission ended like it usually did, in an epic fight. In that fight, all three left alive, but not before having a bone shaking, back and forth battle. And thanks to those two, everyone in the hospital also survived.

"Thank you both for protecting my daughter. How can I repay you?"
"No need. Me and Midaco wouldn't charge you for such a simple task. And especially for the wife and daughter of our old friend."
"Wait a second, I wanna know something!"
Midaco looked at the woman suspiciously.
"W-what's that Mr. Midaco?"
"Please no need for the, 'Mr', I'm not that old yet. I just wanna know this little one's name. My first born is on his way soon actually."
"Her name is Dormia, that's what he chose before he..."
The woman held her baby close as she sobbed softly, mourning her husband's death. Midaco sat next to her bed and wrapped his arm around her shoulder and started to console her.
"Look, Dormia has the one thing Duke was missing. Your daughter has the power of an elixir at her disposal. Because of him, you and your daughter have nothing to fear. You two birthed a future hero."
Aux chimed in.
"By the way, have you let her drink it yet?"
"Well, no. But it's right over there. Would one of you two get it for me?"
Aux passed the Elixir to Midaco. Midaco held the chalice to the baby girl's lips. She drank slowly, sipping only small amounts at a time. A hush went over the room as she finished drinking the elixir. Dormia closed her eyes briefly, and when they opened, sand replaced them, and poured out onto the floor.
"Sweet little Dormia, chosen by Sytrim. Can ya believe it Aux?"
"Well, this is a first, a baby with the powers of an Elixir. She will undoubtedly grow up strong."
"Damn right she will! Well I hate to leave so soon but I've got some business in the East Sands, so it looks like this is goodbye."
Midaco and Aux got up and walked to the door. Just before walking out, Midaco turned around to say one last thing.
"Heyby the way, tell your daughter to keep a lookout for my boy when she's oldenough. I'm sure they'll be great friends one day!"
