At age twenty three, Dormia had grown into the most beautiful woman in the South Sands. She was also considered to be the most deadly. She'd silently slaughtered hundreds of Sheriff's, mocking Reaper's men. Very few of his men see her and live to tell the tale, and the ones who do are severely injured, both physically and mentally. She controlled the sand effortlessly, like a composer conducting her best symphony. All by herself, she waged war on Reaper and the South Sands Sheriff's, and she was winning big.
"Sir, a sand storm is approaching, and fast!!!"
Reaper stood, and gleefully slammed his mug onto his desk. An evil smile twisted across his face.
"So the fun finally came and found me?! Good thing I saved up my appetite!!!"
Sheriff's panicked, shooting in every direction they could to stop her. The sand suddenly stopped.
"Did we get her?"
Spikes of sand struck them all from under their feet, killing them all in an instant. Reaper walked out, with a cold, twisted sneer.
"So you want a rematch girl?!"
Dormia walked just into Reaper's view.
"Rematch? I came here to retrieve your head, nothing more!"
"Tough talk brat, but can you back it up?"
Dormia's figure shattered into sand, and she suddenly appeared under Reaper and snatched Reaper's eye patch off! After flipping in the air, she landed and immediately lunged at Reaper, forming a sword sand in her right hand. Dormia stabbed Reaper in his left eye, spun around, and decapitated him in a single, swift motion.
"Your only weakness was your left eye you kept hidden behind that eye patch. Otherwise, even I couldn't have beat your insane healing abilities."
Dormia picked up Reaper's hideous head, and began walking back to the same hideout Natura and Glacio brought her to the day Reaper viciously mauled her mother.
--
"Well, it looks like your training has paid off. It doesn't get easier from here young Dormia. But I have a feeling you'll be just fine."
Glacio looked at Reaper's head, snapped his fingers, and frosted his head over. With one more snap, he incinerated Reaper's head inside of it's own icy shell.
"There's a long road ahead of you. Fights even more difficult than this lay ahead. I'm sending you to the Lost Sands, where you will train under Igneous, to reach an even greater power. I've enjoyed having you as a student, Dormia. I could even say I learned something from you, you know!"
"Really?! Like what?!"
"I learned that it's the youth that matters, and that at my age, I'm a much better teacher than I am a fighter. And of course it helps that I've got the best student around!"
Dormia blushed, then hugged Glacio. They grown close over the years, and Glacio was like an older brother to her. He nurtured her intellect, making it her greatest weapon. He smiled down at her and nodded towards the door.
"Have a safe journey kid!"
"Thank you, for everything!"
Dormia set out, heading towards the Lost Sands. She had trained her fighting skills under Glacio for the past eight years, and was considered one of the most frightening wranglers alive. Dormia took off, moving the sand under her to propel herself forward with incredible speed. From that day she was known as The Sand Goddess Dormia, Slayer of the Immortal Man.
—
She wore a long, red overcoat that dragged the ground. She wore her hair in a bun, and her pink eyes seemed to light up the room. She walked into the first restaurant she found in the Lost Sands. She spotted three interesting people around her age, two boys and a girl. She walked up to them, and sat next to the boy with grey eyes.
"Pardon me if I'm wrong here, but you three look just as out of place as me here."
The three turned towards her. For just a second, the boy with grey eyes winced when he saw her, but quickly covered it with a pleasant smile.
"You could say that, I'm Ash, a wrangler from the East Sands."
"I'm Medikus, a Wrangler from the West Sands. Pleased to meet you!"
"My name's Trista, I've lived here for a while but I was originally from the Southwest Sands. You're from the South Sands right? They call you the Sand Goddess Dormia!"
"Wait, you know about me?"
"Uh huh, I know about all of you! I even know why you guys came to the Lost Sands. Ignious and Natura told me all about you guys!"
"Wait, you know Natura too?!"
"Yeah, she's Ignious's right hand wrangler, and his girlfriend."
"Well that explains a lot. So you guys came to train as well?"
Ash spoke first.
"I came here to train to get strong enough to get my revenge on Great Eight Midas, and to watch my little brothers back. After that, I'll fight to free the Desert Sands once and for all."
"Midas huh, if you don't mind, what did he do to earn your wrath?
"Well aside from being a Sheriff, he burned down the orphanage I grew up in, and most recently, he murdered someone very dear to me."
Ash cleared his throat, and gave his head a little shake.
"Even in the East Sands I see, Sheriffs make me sick! What about you, Medikus, was it?"
"I avenged our fathers death by killing Great Eight Gordias, so now I'm carrying out his mission, to take Oasis, and end the reign of the Sheriffs once and for all."
They all went quiet for a moment.
"Wranglers huh?"
They all turn to see a tall, dark man towering behind them. He wore a white, leather jacket with black flames trailing the bottom, and a plain pair of jeans. He holstered two six shooters, one on each hip. One of his arms shined a little, reflecting light off of its silver surface.
"Hey Trista, do you know anything about this guy?"
"His name is Slayer Kruise, the only man alive who's killed more than one Great Eight."
Kruise smirked.
"Yep, that's me!"
