"What is that, rain?"
The citizens of the North Sand were puzzled at the rare site of rain. A sheriff looked up into the sky, anticipating an attack.
"Come out then, Slayer!"
Slowly out of the rain water his figure formed, from toe to head. Kruise grinned confidently.
"So what's your name, little sheriff?"
"Watch your tongue kid, I ain't any of the other sheriff's you rag dolled! Call me Great Eight Diego, The Animal!!!"
"Well then, let's test it out, shall we Diego?"
"Can't say I didn't warn ya kid!"
The two wasted no time, and began exchanging frightening blows. Diego's nails grew into fierce claws. His teeth grew wildly, and his skin turned red, and scaly. But what scared Kruise the most, was those eerily black eyes. Even what should've been the whites of his eyes were midnight black.
"You aren't even human!"
"Shut up and fight, Slayer!!! I want you to kill me!!!!"
Kruise sent silver water blades at him, trying to keep his distance.
"Won't work!!!"
Diego flicked his arm sending scales to block the blades. Before he could see it, Diego hit him with an uppercut. Punch after punch, but no matter how hard he tried, he was just two slow to block his opponent.
"What's wrong kid giving up?!"
"Ha!"
Kruise summoned silver rain over top of them.
"Fool!!! That won't work!!!"
Diego landed a brutal haymaker, then looked into the sky.
"Water that cuts is no use on my scales kid!!!"
"Think again!!!"
Kruise used the rain to teleport behind him, flying out of the sky with a silver water sword. It was quick, and silent. Slowly Diego's left arm slid off from the shoulder, landing in the sand with a dry thud.
"Damn you kid, aaahhhh!!!"
"Now, shall I take that other pesky arm, or do you want me to end it quickly?!"
"Hahaha-HAHAHAHA!!!!! Let me tell you something wrangler...."
Kruise heard the words before he saw, or felt anything.
"Your tricks won't work, you're just too slow!"
Kruise looked to his right and saw his transparent afterimage when he felt Diego's fist slam into his chest. Kruise began to feel woozy, as if he'd been drained of all his energy. He looked up to see his own arm in Diego's hand.
"How? H-how?!"
"I wouldn't waste my breath if I were you."
Kruise noticed Diego's scales grew over his wound when his arm was cut off, stopping the blood. Kruise fought, but he couldn't avoid slipping into an unconscious state.
"Pathetic, you aren't even worth me finishing you!"
Diego left, leaving Kruise to die in a pool of his own blood.
—
"I feel comfortable, like I'm in bed. Wait, I can't sleep now, could this mean I'm... "
"No you're not dead, quite far from if actually!!! Damn you boy, I worked hard to bring you back from that lifeless bloody mess you were in when I found you!!!"
Kruise's eyes shot awake to see a beautiful brown woman, with deep purple eyes and long braids down her back.
"Wait, how did you..."
"Hush!!! I've been doing this for longer than you've been alive."
"What?! You look like you're only in your 20's!"
"Well aren't you a sweet boy, tell me what's your name and age kid?"
"Kruise and I'm fourteen, why?"
"Tell ya what, I'll give you everything you want and more, but first you gotta survive four years of training with me, deal?"
"Uh, sure?!"
"Alright no backing out, but first you need to let that wound heal. Unless you're some nerd and want to read those anatomy books over there, I suggest you sit there and rest, minus myself there isn't much entertainment in this house."
The lady walked towards the door to leave the room.
"By the way, my name is Lorem Nutrix, but you can call me Miss Trix."
She walked out, closing the door softly. Kruise looked around the room. there was nothing in there but a chair by his bed. Next to him on the right was a desk with the anatomy books, while on the right was the door to the room. He felt the absence of his left arm, and looked back at the anatomy books.
"Bingo!"
—
"Hey Kruise, you alright?"
"Yes Miss Trix!"
She walked into the room to see him reading the anatomy books.
"So you are a nerd, huh kid? Ha who'd 've thought!"
"Sorry but, do you think that you could bring me a bucket of water, I think I just completed my research."
"I don't know what you're thinking but alright kid!"
Miss Trix came back with a large bucket of water, and sat it next to his bed. Kruise nodded and returned the last book he had to the desk. With his right hand he floated the water in midair, not losing even a drop. He shaped it and molded carefully, paying attention to every aspect of his creation. Slowly but surely he had a silver arm, complete with veins and arteries, enhanced muscles, and the silver water over it created an impenetrable shell.
"Ha!!!"
He plugged his arm in, creating silver needles to lock themselves in his arm and connecting all his vitals, giving him an arm that would work just as well, if not better than his original. He balled his silver fist and threw a punch, testing his new arm.
"So, when do we start training, Miss Trix?!"
