Neo's POV:

After the modules were distributed, Harley told me he was going somewhere and that I should drop his module and bag at his house. I was basically an errand boy for him.

FLASHBACK

I was living a decent life in Japan, until one day my father's company transferred him to California.

I was pretty intelligent in studies and thankfully I spoke English well, because of that I didn't had much problem in adjusting at my new school in California. It was a big private school and I got a scholarship because of my good grades and that is why I could study in this school free of cost.

The education counselor was impressed by my fluent English and my straight A grades and she believed if I was given proper guidance I could even get in an Ivy League. Her saying that meant so much to me. I never even dreamt of going in an Ivy League. She told me to buckle up and start preparing for it from now. She got me another scholarship for private tutions so that I could excel more.

It was the first day of coaching class and let's be honest I was pretty excited. I went there and saw some students in the parking with their bikes. They looked pretty much like normal studens and they all behaved nicely towards me. But as the class went on, I noticed their I phones, I pad's , their expensive bags, clothes and shoes. Many of them wore Air Jordans and their clothes were Burberry, Saint Laurent etc. , I was curious because they came to coaching on bikes yet they own such luxuries. And they weren't even counterfeit and then I looked at myself, all I ever wore or owned we're counterfeit's.

First day passed quickly, I went back home and stalked their social media profiles. If I say I was shocked, it would be an understatement. All of them were loaded with money man. First I looked through Harley's profile, his family had their own chain of Gas Stations, this was their main business and who knows how many side businesses they own.

I digged in further, Nicoli Clark is the son of California's most prestigious law firm 'Adams & Clarke' , which was run by his father and mother together. They were basically family lawyers.

Then I searched about Edvin, his family owned several properties all over USA, some even used as luxury resorts and therefore his father had real estate business.

About Jeremiah, his family had their roots in politics and his mother owned a wedding dress house in LA. He's also playing baseball nowadays and in his school's baseball team. Well good for him.

Then I searched about Andres, turns out he's the richest of them all, I mean they're all rich but he's another level. He's a Zaibatsu. His great grandfather made a Pharmaceutical company back in the 70's which flourished a lot, and made them Zaibatsu.
(A/n: zaibatsu // noun. (functioning as singular or plural) the group or combine comprising a few wealthy families that controls industry, business, and finance in Japan)

Then I looked through the profiles of popular girls, first Madeline or what they call her, Maddy, her family had this big ass fashion house, where they manufactured their own Clothes, shoes, bags, accessories etc.

Next up was Issabella or Issa, she was of Chinese decent, but she lived in Thailand until her family moved here a few years back. Her father is a renowned Chef and they have Restraunt Chains all over Asia and now also in LA.

Katy was Edvin's cousin and their family was doing business together, but due a conflict between families they separated their business.

Now Katy's family have their own Skincare and Makeup brand, which is high end and only rich can afford it.

Stacy who is also in my school was generationally rich, her family had a lot of properties all over USA and for the main business they had chain of Jewellery stores in different cities.

Jade's father on the other hand owned multiple car stores and her mother was a professor in University of California.

Gia's father was a plastic surgeon and had a popular clinic in the city. She also had a younger brother, whose name was Wilhelm, currently in middle school.

Now coming to Audrey, her family had tech company, in which they provided out sourcing services and also manufactured computer hardware and stuff. Her mother was also a senior professor in University of California. She has an elder sister, her name was Stella, who studies in Columbia University and there she had a boyfriend, Na Jaemin, a chaebol from South Korea, heir to The King Group, a luxury hotel conglomerate.

All this information about them made me wonder, why'd they act like mediocres?

I searched again about why'd they fake it and came to a conclusion that it was all just to get accepted in Ivy leagues or other prestigious colleges. If they flaunced their money or acted as if they're filthy rich and stuff and looked down on other students,it could tarnish their school records which will make it hard for them to get into Ivy Leagues. All of them would inherit their families businesses so they need to be educated enough to run it properly.

Everything was going on smoothly, because now I was friends with Harley and Gunnar, I visited their house a lot of times and it was like what I saw in movies. So lavish and beautiful. But one day Harley asked me , "Hey Neo, let's hang out at your house today. " I tried to make excuses but they pestered me. When they saw my house, they knew I wasn't as rich as they were and I wasn't a fit for their group. So I made a deal with them that they wouldn't reveal about my house and stuff and I'll run errands for them. But I wondered for some time, why do these kids come here at this coaching centre? They can easily afford a private tutor who could come to teach at their house. After I digged deep into their family information, I found out that their families were all well acquainted with each other and they all wanted private tutions for their kids , so instead of arranging individual ones, they arranged a special private one for all of them. That's how all of them ended up together here and I don't know what was I doing in between such spoilt kids.

End of Flashback

I went on my bike to drop Harley's bag and module at his house. After that I went back to my house. I opened my computer and started streaming. I opened my discord and people were super chatting. I finance my everyday expenses with the money that I earn from streaming which is decent so I don't have to use my parents money. I am quite popular streamer and I have generous followers. I study a lot about coding and computer which makes me think I've basically become a tech nerd, because technology just fascinates me so much. You can get access to any information by just one click. This is insane. After playing games, I checked my phone, and a news about Audrey and Andres dating was all over the group chat. Well this was new.
