A/n: This is gonna be a long chapter.
Song for the chapter: Company by Justin Beiber
Audrey's POV:
Me and Stella chatted animatedly on our way home, discussing everything from party gossip to how much fun I had today. Laughter filled the air as I told her about mine and Nicoli's fight and Katy's twerking.
Upon reaching home, I bid Stella goodnight and retreated to my room. The familiar comfort of my own space enveloped me as I changed into my pajamas and began my nighttime routine.
Humming softly to myself, I applied my favorite moisturizer from Florence by Mills and brushed my hair, the rhythmic motion calming my restless mind. I glanced at my reflection in the mirror, a flicker of uncertainty crossing my features before I pushed it aside.
Climbing into bed, I nestled beneath the covers, the soft warmth enveloping me. The events of the party replayed in my mind like a broken record. I couldn't shake the feeling of disappointment in Andres.
With each passing moment, I found myself drawn back to Andres, his image etched into the fabric of my consciousness. It was a peculiar sensation, this burgeoning feeling of protectiveness and fondness that seemed to have taken root within me.
I couldn't deny the undeniable pull I felt towards him, a connection that transcended mere friendship. There was something about Andres that stirred a sense of warmth and affection within me, a desire to shield him from the harsh realities of the world.
But as I lay there, grappling with the conflicting emotions swirling within me, a pang of unease gnawed at my heart. For all his charms and affability, Andres was not without his flaws. His reluctance to stand up for himself, his obsession with maintaining a facade of normalcy - these were traits that I found both endearing and troubling.
In the stillness of the night, I couldn't help but wonder if my growing attachment to Andres was a folly, a misguided sentiment born out of misplaced empathy. Was I fooling myself into believing that I could protect him, that I could shield him from the harsh realities of the world? His actions spoke volumes - leaving me alone at the party, disappearing without a word, and showing little concern for my feelings. I questioned myself, wondering if I was doing the right thing by standing up for Andres.
As the minutes stretched into hours, I found myself wrestling with these doubts, the weight of uncertainty pressing down on me like a leaden blanket. And as sleep continued to elude me, I knew that the night would be long, filled with restless introspection and unanswered questions.
The morning sun peeked through my curtains casting a warm glow across my room.
As I got ready for the day, the events of last night lingered in the back of my mind, but I pushed them aside, determined to start afresh.
Arriving at tuition, I was greeted by familiar faces and cheerful greetings. Edvin flashed me a grin as I entered the classroom, and Jeremiah gave me a playful nod.
But it was Andres who caught my attention, his smile brighter than ever as he waved me over to his side. Despite my lingering doubts, I couldn't help but return his smile, reassured by his cheerful demeanor.
"Hey, Audz! You made it!" Katy exclaimed, her eyes lighting up as she waved me over. "We missed you last night poodle. Did you have fun?" Gia asked along.
I returned her smile, nodding as I settled into my seat. "Yeah, it was a blast! Your twerking skills were on point babygirl!" I teased, earning a giggle from her and a playful shove from Jade. "Baby bear I missed you even more!" I half hugged Gia, she's literally the cutest human to exist.
"Seriously, Katy, Harley couldn't take his eyes off you!" Gia chimed in, winking at her. "I think he's got a major crush on you." I joined in.
We laughed along, enjoying our conversation. Despite the lingering unease from last night, being with my friends lifted my spirits and made everything feel more manageable.
