Song for the chapter: Kiss me more by Doja Cat ft. Sza
Katy's POV:
As Harley and I stepped out by the pool, I couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement. The party inside was fun, but being alone with Harley made my blood race. He had this easygoing charm that made everything seem more vibrant and electrifying.
"Hey, Katy," Harley said, his voice smooth as he leaned casually against the pool fence. "What do you think? Should we dive in, or just enjoy the view?"
I smirked, meeting his gaze head-on. "The view's great, but I'm not one to ruin my outfit without a good reason."
"Fair enough," he said with a playful grin. "But just so you know, you'd look great in anything, wet or dry."
I raised an eyebrow, a confident smile on my lips. "You're pretty sure of yourself, aren't you?"
"I try," he said, winking. "So, tell me, why doesn't a girl like you have a boyfriend yet?"
"Maybe I deserve two," I replied, my tone bold. "One just wouldn't be enough."
He laughed, inching closer. "I like the way you think. Gorgeous girls like you deserve all the attention they want."
I met his gaze, feeling the heat between us. "You're really laying it on thick, aren't you?"
"Just stating the truth," he said, smirking. "So, you think you can handle a little more flirting, or should I dial it back?"
"I can handle whatever you throw at me," I said, my confidence unwavering.
"Good," he said, leaning in closer. "Because I've got a few more tricks up my sleeve."
"Like what?" I asked, feeling a mix of anticipation and excitement.
"Well, for starters," he said, brushing a strand of hair from my face, "do you have a name, or can I call you mine?"
I laughed, shaking my head. "That's the best you've got? Weak."
"I've got plenty more," he said with a wink. "But seriously, Katy, I'm really glad we're out here together. You're a lot of fun."
"Thanks, Harley," I said, feeling a flutter in my chest. "I'm having a great time too."
"Good to know," he said, his smile widening. "So, tell me more about you. What do you like to do for fun?"
"I love reading, painting, and just hanging out with friends," I said. "What about you?"
"Besides charming beautiful girls?" he said with a playful smirk. "I love playing sports, traveling, and just enjoying life. You know, living in the moment."
"I like that," I said, feeling a connection between us. "Living in the moment."
"Yeah," he said, his voice softening. "And right now, this moment is pretty perfect, don't you think?"
"It is," I said, my heart beating faster. "It really is."
We stood there, gazing into each other's eyes, the world around us fading away. Harley's presence was intoxicating, and I felt myself getting lost in the moment, in the possibilities of what could be.
As Harley and I continued to chat by the pool, the energy between us was undeniable. He leaned in closer, a mischievous glint in his eye.
"So, Katy," he said, "How good are you at handling your alcohol?"
I smirked, raising an eyebrow. "I can handle my alcohol pretty well. Why, you wanna find out?"
"Absolutely," he replied, his grin widening. "How about a little competition? Vodka shots. Whoever can take more in five seconds wins."
