Song for the chapter: Giddy by Kep1er

Edvin's POV:

As I watched Andres' expression shift from curiosity to uncertainty, a mischievous grin spread across my face. This was my moment to nudge him into action, to sow the seeds of doubt and watch as they took root in his mind.

"You know, bro," I said, leaning in closer, "you should totally ask Audrey about this Trevor guy. I mean, it's not like I'm doubting her or anything, but it's weird, right? I mean, why would she choose him over Katy for the project?"

Andres furrowed his brow, his eyes narrowing in thought. "Yeah, it does seem strange. Audrey never brought up this guy before but looking at their interactions, it seems like their friendship goes way back."

I nodded, encouraging him to continue. "Exactly! It's like, what's the deal with this Trevor dude? What does he have that Katy doesn't?"

Andres shrugged, clearly grappling with the idea. "I don't know, man. Maybe I should just talk to Audrey and see what's going on."

"Yes! That's the spirit!" I exclaimed, unable to contain my excitement. "You've got to get to the bottom of this, bro. Don't let Audrey off the hook that easily."

Andres chuckled, a hint of determination in his eyes. "Yeah, you're right. I'll talk to her tomorrow and see what she has to say."

With a satisfied smile, I leaned back in my chair, pleased with the progress we had made. The seeds of doubt had been planted, and now it was only a matter of time before they sprouted into something more.

Andres' POV:

As Edvin spoke, a sense of unease washed over me. Was I overthinking things? Audrey had always been a, someone I could trust without question. But now, with Edvin's words echoing in my mind, I couldn't help but wonder if there was more to her relationship with Trevor than met the eye.

"Yeah, I guess you're right," I conceded, my thoughts swirling with uncertainty. "I should probably talk to Audrey and see what's going on."

Edvin nodded eagerly, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Definitely, bro. You've got to get to the bottom of this. Don't let Audrey off the hook that easily."

His words struck a chord with me, igniting a spark of determination within me. "Yeah, you're right. I'll talk to her tomorrow and see what she has to say."

The next day at tution class, I approached Audrey, my mind raced with Edvin's words echoing in my ears. I knew I had to confront her about this Trevor guy, but I couldn't just dive in headfirst. I needed to ease into the conversation, make it seem like a casual inquiry rather than an interrogation.

"Hey, Audrey," I began, trying to keep my tone light and casual."Heyy!" she replied sweetly. "How've you been? Lately you've been super busy with school work that you don't even hang out with me." I said in a cute fake annoyed way to which she replied, " Aw, did you miss me already? Don't worry the project we're working on will be over soon. "Ah I see, but don't ignore me because of all that, spare time for me too" I voiced. "Of course I'll make time for you because I know how much you love hanging out with me" she said jokingly. "I was hanging out with Edvin the other day, and he mentioned about how these group project stresses him out and how he's still "partnerless".

Audrey glanced up from her textbook, curiosity flickering in her eyes. "Oh, yeah? Too bad. I'm sure someone will be willing to partner up with him though."
"Yeah I guess!" I shrugged.

Relieved that the conversation was going smoothly so far, I decided to broach the topic of Trevor. "So, who did you end up partnering with? Katy?"

Audrey shook her head, a small smile playing on her lips. "No, not Katy. I actually partnered up with Trevor. We've been friends since we were kids, and he's really good at studies, so I thought he'd be a great partner."
