Song for the chapter: Hug by TVXQ

Stella's POV:

As Jaemin and I walked into our home, still basking in the afterglow of our Paris trip, Audrey practically bounced over to us with a mischievous grin. "Stella! Jaemin!" she exclaimed, pulling us into a group hug. "So, spill it! How was the City of Love? Was it everything you hoped for?"

I couldn't help but laugh at Audrey's infectious enthusiasm. "It was incredible," I replied, holding out my hand to show her the ring. "And look at this!"

Audrey's eyes widened dramatically as she examined the sparkling diamond. "Oh my gosh, Stells, it's gorgeous!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with genuine admiration. "Jaemin, you've officially raised the bar for all future proposals."

Jaemin chuckled, his eyes warm as he looked at me. "I had to make sure Stella knew how much she means to me," he said softly, his hand brushing against mine.

Audrey nodded approvingly, her playful teasing evident in her tone. "Well done, Jaemin," she teased, winking at him. "You're giving off serious K-drama prince vibes."

I couldn't help but giggle at Audrey's comparison. "He does have that charm," I admitted with a smile, feeling Jaemin squeeze my hand affectionately.

Jaemin flashed a playful grin at Audrey. "Audrey, don't worry," he said with a wink. "I'll make sure Andres proposes to you in an even more spectacular way."

Audrey's cheeks flushed pink as she laughed. "Oh, Jaemin, you're incorrigible," she replied, shaking her head in amusement.

Turning back to me, Jaemin's expression softened. "So, Stella," he began, his tone teasing yet sincere, "now that I've swept you off your feet in Paris, are you still dreaming about Minho from SHINee proposing to you, or am I enough?"

I playfully nudged him with my elbow, pretending to ponder his question. "Hmm, tough choice," I teased back, a smile tugging at my lips. "But I think I'll stick with you, Jaemin. You've definitely won me over."

Jaemin grinned triumphantly, pulling me closer. "Good choice," he murmured, his eyes sparkling with affection.

Audrey watched us with a knowing smile. "You two are adorable," she remarked, her voice warm with affection. "I'm so happy for you both."

I leaned into Jaemin's embrace, feeling a surge of gratitude for Audrey's unwavering support. "Thank you, Audrey," I said sincerely, meeting Jaemin's gaze with a smile.

Jaemin pressed a lingering kiss to my forehead, his playful facade giving way to a tender moment between us. "Let's take things one step at a time," he whispered softly, his voice filled with promise.

I nodded, feeling reassured by Jaemin's words. "Absolutely," I agreed, feeling more certain than ever that our future together was something worth savoring.

Moments later, my mother appeared in the hallway, her smile radiant with maternal pride. "Welcome home, both of you! Stella, Jaemin, I'm overjoyed for you," she exclaimed, embracing us each in turn. Her gaze drifted to the ring on my finger, admiration evident in her voice. "The ring is beautiful, Stella. Congratulations to both of you. But remember, marriage is a significant step. We must involve Jaemin's family in our plans."

I nodded, feeling the weight of her words. "I know, Mom. Jaemin and I talked about it. We want everyone's blessing."

Jaemin stepped forward, his expression earnest. "Mrs. Rodriguez, I assure you, my family will support us. They'll see how much Stella means to me."

My mom smiled warmly. "That's reassuring to hear, Jaemin. But we should proceed cautiously. Let's take our time, meet Jaemin's family, and discuss our future together."
