Song for the chapter: Tempo by EXO

Andres' POV:

The past three weeks had been a whirlwind of stress and late-night study sessions. Midterm season always had a way of turning our lives upside down, with endless theory examinations, practical exams, and file submissions. It felt like the only thing we had time for was studying and barely catching our breath.

But now, the midterms were finally over, and the weight of academic pressure was lifting off our shoulders. The campus buzzed with a newfound energy, a mix of relief and excitement for the upcoming break. We had all been looking forward to this moment, where we could finally relax and enjoy ourselves.

One of the things I was most excited about was Jeremiah's upcoming match. Jeremiah has always been there for me, and I knew how much this match meant to him. He had been training hard for weeks, and I wanted to make sure he had the best support possible.

I picked up my phone and called Edvin. "Hey, Ed," I said when he answered. "How have you been? How were the exams treating you?"

"Hey, Andres bro! Surviving, barely," Edvin laughed. "It's been brutal, but I'm just glad it's over. Phew! What about you?"

"Same here haha," I replied, leaning back in my chair. "But now that we're done with exams, it's time to have some fun."

"Absolutely bro! Lots of fun!," Edvin agreed enthusiastically. "We're free again! So, what's the plan?"

"I was thinking it would be great to get a group together to support Jeremiah at his match in two days," I suggested. "He's been working really hard, and I think it would mean a lot to him if we had a big group cheering him on."

"Definitely! Jeremiah is my bro too! We have to go to cheer him on," Edvin said. "Who do you think we should invite?"

"Well, besides us, I was thinking of inviting Harley, Gunnar, and Neo. Maddy will definitely come since she's the cheerleading captain. and I'm sure Stacy and Issa will join too as they are a part of cheer team too. If Issa comes, Nicoli will probably come too, even though I'm not thrilled about it. I don't wanna be in his presence and let him ruin our fun day. But we can't stop him right?"

Edvin voiced, "Yeah, we'll have to deal with fucking Nicoli. What about Audrey though and her friends? Should we invite them too?"

"Definitely Ed, that's a great idea!" I said. "The more support, the better. I'll call Audrey and tell her to invite her friends. Do you want to handle inviting the others?"

"Sure thing," Edvin replied. "I'll get on it right now."

We hung up, and I immediately dialed Audrey's number. After a few rings, she picked up. "Hey, Andres. What's up?"

"Hey, cutie! How've you been? Now that our exams are over, I was thinking we could all go support Jeremiah at his match in two days. He's been working really hard, and I think it would mean a lot to him if we had a big group cheering him on."

There was a moment of silence before Audrey responded. "That sounds like a great idea, Andres. Count me in. I'll let my friends know too."

"Great! We're planning to meet up a bit before the match starts to hang out and get ready to cheer him on. I'll keep you posted with the details."

"Sounds perfect," Audrey said with a smile in her voice. "Thanks for inviting me, Andres!"

"No problem, Audz. See you soon!"

After we hung up, I felt a surge of excitement. The plan was coming together, and it felt great to be organizing something fun for everyone after the stress of midterms. I called Edvin back to update him on the situation.
