Song for the chapter: On my Youth by WayV
Trevor's POV:
As I scrolled through the snaps Audrey had sent me of her and Andres hanging out at the beach, a familiar pang of jealousy gripped my heart. Seeing them together, smiling and laughing, made me seethe with resentment. It was the perfect time to put my plan into action.
The next day after school, I waited for Audrey at the bus stop. When she arrived, I flashed her a smile and motioned for her to sit beside me.
"Hey Audrey," I began casually. "You know Leo, right? He's in our class."
Audrey nodded. "Yeah, what about him?"
"Well, he's really good with tech stuff," I continued, feigning nonchalance. "So, I sent him the usernames of the accounts that posted those hateful comments on my YouTube channel. He tracked down the IP addresses."
Audrey's eyes widened in surprise. "That's great, Trevor. Maybe we can report them or something."
I played it cool, pretending to hesitate before dropping the bomb. "I didn't want to tell you, but I thought I should. Those IP addresses belong to Andres Parker and Edvin Green."
Audrey's jaw dropped in disbelief. "What? Are you serious? Are you sure it's them, Trevor?"
I nodded solemnly, pulling out my phone to show her the evidence. "Yeah, Audrey. Leo confirmed it."
Audrey's expression darkened with disappointment. "I'm so disappointed in them, Trevor. I can't believe they would do this."
I placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry you have to deal with this, Audrey. I just thought you should know."
Audrey nodded, a determined look in her eyes. "I'll talk to Andres and make sure they both apologize to you. I hope you won't press any further action against them."
I forced a smile, internally celebrating my success. "Of course not, Audrey. Thanks for understanding."
As Audrey walked away, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. My plan had worked perfectly, sowing the seeds of bitterness between her and Andres. Revenge had never tasted so sweet.
Audrey's POV:
As I walked away from Trevor, my heart was heavy with disappointment and frustration. How could Andres betray my trust like this? I had thought he was more mature than Edvin, but now I realized they were both cut from the same cloth.
The same evening at tuition, Andres waved at me smiling, his bunny teeth sparkling. I ignored him, taking my seat at the front with my friends. Mr. Garcia came in to teach, but I could hardly focus on the lesson with my mind consumed by thoughts of Andres's betrayal.
After class, as I made my way out of the school gates, Andres caught up to me, his voice filled with confusion and hurt. "Audrey, babe, what's up? Why are you ignoring me?"
I turned to face him, my expression cold. "Because I don't fucking want to talk to you, Andres. Can't you get it through your thick skull?"
His brows furrowed in frustration. "What the hell, Audrey? Why are you behaving like this? Yesterday we were having so much fun at the beach, and now you're acting like this. What happened?"
"You happened," I snapped, my voice tinged with anger. "You're such an insecure ass. I'm so disappointed in you. Please, just let me go."
Andres looked taken aback. "Can't you at least tell me what's wrong? Why are you making a scene?"
"If you don't want a scene, then stop talking to me," I shot back, my patience wearing thin. "I don't want to talk to you."
"Audrey you can't just do this," he insisted, his tone pleading. "Please, Audrey, talk to me."
