Song for the chapter: Until I found you by Stephen Sanchez
Jeremiah's POV:
As I scanned the room during our yoga session at the Gym today, I caught sight of Gia, Audrey's friend, stealing glances at me. It wasn't surprising; after all, my charm tends to have that effect on girls. I flashed her a sly grin, acknowledging her interest without saying a word. If she was curious about me, well, who was I to disappoint?
During the stretches, I made sure to position myself strategically near her. When she struggled with a pose, I'd casually stroll over, my voice smooth as silk. "Need a hand there, Gia?" I'd ask, my tone playful yet reassuring. Her eyes would meet mine, a hint of surprise and amusement dancing in them.
Flirting came naturally to me, and I wasn't about to let this opportunity slip by. Between exercises, I'd slip in compliments effortlessly. "You're doing great, by the way," I'd say with a wink, making sure she knew I noticed her efforts. Sometimes, I'd tease her gently, just to see her playful side emerge.
Our conversations grew warmer with each session. "So, Gia," I'd start, leaning in slightly, "tell me something interesting about yourself." I enjoyed unraveling her layers, seeing her reactions to my subtle advances. And when she laughed at my jokes or blushed at my compliments, I knew I was making an impression.
One day, as she struggled with a particularly tricky pose, I moved behind her, my hands gently guiding her into the correct alignment. "There you go," I murmured softly, feeling her tension ease under my touch. It was moments like these when I knew my charm was working its magic.
Sure, some might call me a flirt, but why deny the thrill of mutual attraction?
As the days passed, I found myself increasingly drawn to Gia. What started as casual flirting had evolved into something more intriguing. Her shy smiles and genuine laughter were a refreshing change from the usual attention-seeking girls I encountered. There was an innocence about her that intrigued me, a sincerity that made me want to know her better.
After another day at the gym, I lingered a moment longer, watching her pack her stuff. "Hey, Gia," I called out casually, "how about grabbing a coffee with me sometime?"
Her eyes widened slightly, surprised yet curious. I flashed her a charming smile, my voice smooth as I continued, "I know this great little café nearby. We could chat some more, if you'd like."
She hesitated for a moment, weighing her options. "Um, sure," she finally replied, her cheeks tinted with a faint blush. "I'd like that."
"Great!" I replied, masking my own excitement. "How about tomorrow afternoon? Say around three?"
She nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "Three sounds perfect."
"Looking forward to it," I said with a wink, then turned to leave, leaving her with a flutter of anticipation.
As I walked away, I couldn't help but feel a surge of satisfaction. Gia was different, and I wanted to unravel the mystery behind those shy smiles and hidden depths. Maybe this coffee date would lead to something fun, something more than just flirtation.
Gia's POV:
I couldn't believe it. Jeremiah had actually asked me out on a date. The words kept replaying in my mind like a favorite song on repeat. His smooth voice, his confident demeanor-it was all so surreal.
Immediately after leaving the gym, I dialed Audrey's number, practically bursting with excitement. "Guys, you won't believe what just happened!" I exclaimed as soon as Audrey picked up.
Audrey's voice, warm and familiar, greeted me. "Hey, baby bear! What's got you so worked up?"
"He asked me out," I blurted out, unable to hide my glee. "Jeremiah asked me on a date!"
