Song for the chapter: Baby don't stop by NCT U

Stacy's POV:

Months passed, and Neo and I grew closer with each passing day. Our sarcasm and banter turned into a language of its own, and I found myself looking forward to our hangouts more than ever. It felt strange, but also comforting, having someone like Neo in my life.

My birthday was approaching, and for once, I was excited about the celebration. I made sure to invite Neo, despite knowing how out of place he might feel among my usual crowd.

The party was in full swing, laughter and music filling the air. Neo arrived, blending into the sea of faces, but he stood out to me immediately. As the night progressed, we found a quiet corner to talk.

"Happy birthday, Stacy," Neo said, handing me a small, elegant box.

I opened it to reveal a stunning Cartier bracelet. My breath caught. "Neo, you didn’t have to do this. It’s beautiful, but... it must have cost a fortune."

He smiled, a mix of pride and humility in his eyes. "I'm not as poor as you assume me to be, you know."

I blushed, feeling a wave of affection for him. "Thank you, really. But what if this isn’t what I want from you?"

Neo raised an eyebrow, a teasing glint in his eyes. "Then what else do you want?"

Taking a deep breath, I decided to throw caution to the wind. "I want you to prove how good of a kisser you are. Are you as good as you claim to be?"

Neo's eyes widened slightly in surprise before a slow, confident smile spread across his face. He stepped closer, the air between us charged with anticipation. "You really want to find out?"

I nodded, my heart racing. "I do."

Neo's hand gently cupped my cheek, his thumb brushing against my skin. Our faces inched closer until our lips finally met. The kiss was electric, sending shivers down my spine. His lips were soft yet firm, moving against mine with a mix of tenderness and intensity that took my breath away.

He pulled back slightly, his forehead resting against mine. "Was that good enough?"

I smiled, feeling a rush of warmth. "You might need to prove it a few more times."

Neo chuckled, his breath warm against my lips. "Gladly."

Our lips met again, the kiss deepening. This time, it was more passionate, more urgent. His hands slid to my waist, pulling me closer as my fingers tangled in his hair. The world around us faded away, leaving just the two of us in our own bubble of bliss.

We finally broke apart, both of us breathing heavily. Neo's eyes were dark with desire, matching the fire I felt inside. "So, did I meet your expectations?" he asked, his voice low and husky.

I bit my lip, trying to steady my racing heart. "You surpassed them."

He laughed softly, his fingers tracing circles on my hip. "Good to know."

For the rest of the night, we stayed close, sharing secret smiles and stolen glances. The flirty, seductive tension between us was palpable, and it felt like we had crossed a line we could never go back from. And, truthfully, I didn’t want to.

As the party continued, we found ourselves in quieter moments, wrapped in each other's arms, sharing whispered conversations and soft kisses. It was the best birthday I could have imagined, made all the more special by the unexpected turn my relationship with Neo had taken.

I realized then that I didn’t just enjoy his company; I needed it. And as we kissed one last time under the stars, I knew that this was just the beginning of something incredible.
