"So? Are you and Bright dating?" My friend, Rina asked as she sip from her drink.
I rolled my eyes and shook my head. "Ha-ha, of course not. I already told you that me and him will forever stay friends."
This time, she's the one who laughed. "Oh, please, it sounds like you're hurt by it." I looked down and didn't utter a word. "You should've taken the chance when you had it; now look, he's-"
"Rina, please. I've moved on. I also knew that we would never reach that kind of stage," I said, looking straight into her eyes with a serious tone. "He's happy, and so is Chatri. That's enough."
She sighed and nodded. "Okay, if you say so."
She didn't utter a single word. I also don't want to talk about it anyway since it'll only make me more anxious. The first time I met Win, I was struck with dominance coming from him, like I'm someone who's not allowed to step into the same stepping stone that he is at.
I thought that maybe he knew that I have feelings for Bright, so being around him makes me want to watch how I act or talk towards Bright. As time went by, he started warming up to me, and I'm getting more comfortable as well.
We still talk less but, it's not that awkward anymore. He actually asked me first to help Bright look after Chatri before Bright asked me for the same thing this morning. Not gonna lie, they both look so cute together.
"Hey, are you listening?" Rina's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
I blinked a few times and looked at her. "I'm sorry, just thinking about something"
She smirked.
"And no, it is not about Bright or any other man." I said nonchalantly
She shrugged her shoulders and took a bite from her strawberry cake. "Whatever, at least you're on good terms with his boyfriend. It'll be a war if you were to try and steal Bright away."
"Oh no, I wouldn't dare." I quickly denied "I know my limitations, Rina. And, Win isn't someone you can mess with."
She looked at me questionably. "Why?"
I rolled my eyes and looked ta her tiredly. "Didn't you forget? He owns a large number of companies, he's definitely a big guy."
"Define big" Rina leaned in with a smirk on her face and her eyebrows wiggling.
I looked at her disgustingly and took a tissue before throwing it at her. "You and your dirty mind, can you stop that?"
She laughs. "No can do, my friend."
I only sighed. "Already knew about that, anyway, I need to go. I still need to get Chatri from his school."
I gathered my bag and phone and bid goodbye to her. It's actually my day off, so I get to have some chitchat with my longtime friend. I took the keys out of my bag and went to my car.
