C H A P T E R_48

Win's POV

"Sh*t!"

Bright suddenly hits the brakes, I'm already feeling a bit dizzy and nauseous, maybe it's because of the breakfast we had. It caused me to lose consciousness because of the impact. The moment I opened my eyes, Bright's already looking at me worriedly and he seems really stressed.

"Oh, thank goodness, bunny" he sighed in relief. Kissing the top of my head, full of relief. He pulled away and rested his forehead on mine. "I'm really sorry, I should have been more careful! I-i'm—"

I grabbed his neck and pulled him for his kiss. I know he's shocked since his body stiffened for a second before relaxing. I pulled away and he's just looking at me like an obedient puppy.

"I'm fine now, I just lost consciousness probably because of how dizzy and nauseous I was during the ride" I said.

"And you are right, mr. Metawin" We all turned our heads on my OB/Gyn, who just walked in. "The baby is fine, you just lost consciousness because of the impact."

Everyone sighed in relief, but my alpha mate here still looks anxious and holds my hand tightly.

"Now that we are sure the baby is fine, can someone tell me what happened?" I asked looking at them.

The four big motorbikes that was surrounding us was actually the guards I assigned to clear our way and guard us until we reach the beach house. I don't know what happened next after Bright hits the brakes.

"Well, two teenagers suddenly crossed the road" Zee, one the men I assigned. "They both looking High, by the way"

"Yeah, and we already sent those two to the police" Gemini said.

"They surely sucks at hiding the fact that they just stoned" JJ said causing for the others to laugh.

"Okay, now that everyone is out of the edge and Win here is awake and the baby is well. Can I now do my job and may I ask everyone to leave, except the mate, of course"

Everyone left except Bright. The check-up went well and as usual, Bright listened attentively to what the doctor says, while I just think of my new craving. Is Pineapple with Chocolate dipped in coffee sounds good? I kind of want that right now.

  Leaving the doctors office, still thinking of the food that I'm craving, Chatri met me outside and immediately went to hug me. Time surely flies past cause this kid is getting taller day by day. We all headed back to the car. It has no damages whatsoever, and while on our way, Dad and Bryan called as they heard about the news.

  I just told them the exact same thing Bright and the others told me, and also reassured them that me and baby are fine. Dad was relieved about it, but Bryan was not. He said that he'll give the boys a good lecturing the moment they came back from the beach.

  Seriously, he still treats me as if I'm still a baby. I'm not complaining, just saying. I'm glad we have this bond, instead of those usual brothers who fought for the family's wealth and everything.

"A penny for your thoughts, Bunny?" Bright said, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"I'm just wondering..." I looked at him, he's eyes fixated on the road but still hummed. "Do you have any siblings?"

  I've been meaning to ask him some information about his personal life. AJ and Mix tried to get some information about him before but they always reach a dead end or missing files. I don't want to doubt him, I want to trust him.

It was silent for a couple of minutes, he still had a smile on his face but it was not one of those real smile. I looked away, thinking that I might have invaded his privacy a little too early. But, I mean, he already got me pregnant, right? Shouldn't he like...ehem.... propose already?

"Me and my brother..." He suddenly spoke, making me look at him. "We haven't talked to each other for years, and... We really don't have that usual brotherly bond that most have."

"Did you guys have a fight?" I asked

He shook his head. "Just....not the way we were raised"

I nodded. From one of the information Tyrhon managed to get, it was said that he has a brother. So we can now confirm that data. But the rest, is still....

"You can ask me anything, bunny" he said. "You are now my mate, so I want you to ask me every single thing you want to know about me. I want you to trust me with all your heart, and I will make sure that I will never break that trust"

  His words comforts me. He removed one of his hand from the stirring wheel and grabbed mine. He brought my hand up to his lips and kisses my knuckles, before bringing it down again, still holding it tightly.

I took a deep breath before asking again. "What about your parents? When can I meet them?"

"My dad... He's always busy with work, so we don't actually get along that well. Since, he has other ideas and perspective on things than I am." He answered.

"What your mom?"

He was silent for a second, sighing he said. "My mom vanished when I was five. Haven't seen him since then, nor my Father would talk about him at all"

So that's why his parents profiles are not on the information Tyrhon sent. Even the guardian's information on his college data, it was Tine's mother's name that's on the file.

"Last question"

"Yes, bunny?"

"What really is your family's business?"

  He looked at me for a second and smiled before looking back on the road.

"We're just entrepreneurs, bunny." He said. "As you can see with the café"

"Wait, I thought it was Tine's Mother's business?"

He shook his head. "Nope, I brought that business to life. Did everything I can so we can build a small business for our future family, Ma's only the one managing it so that I can work as a waiter."

"But, if you're already a son of an entrepreneur and you have your own business, why did you still apply as waiter?" I asked with a confused expression.

He chuckled before saying "I want to give Chatri the life he deserves from my own hard work, not from the wealth of my father."

  I only nodded and decided to not ask anymore, I'll ask him the other information later once we're back. Today is supposed to be relaxing and fun. After two hours, we finally arrived at the beach house. We were welcomed by the housekeepers, there was already food on the dining table. Chatri immediately ran towards the beach, Bright shouted to call him to come back since he needs to eat first.

  But the kid is stubborn, so Gemini's the one who ran up to Chatri and grabbed him. He carried Chatri like a sack of potatoes. We put our things in our rooms, and ate first before going to the beach. It's already around 4 pm so the sun isn't that painful on the skin.

  I just rested on the blanket on the sand, Bright placed it under the palm tree since there are still sun rays and, I'm feeling a bit moody and I don't want any sun on my skin.
