The next day...

You and Baji were out buying snacks. You were craving sweets, so you asked Baji if he would accompany you. He agreed since he wanted to make sure no creep would approach you. When you guys left the store, you saw Draken.

"Hey, wassup."

"Hi." You said while Baji stayed quiet.

"What you guys up to?"

"We just bought some snacks."

"Not gonna talk?" He said to Baji.

"I got nothing to say."

He just sighed. "Well, whatever."

It felt awkward. Baji was the one to always talk, but this time he was quiet.

"What are you doing right now?" You asked.

"Just out for a walk."

"Want to hang out?"

Baji gave you a look. Is she serious?!

"Sure, why not."

You decided to hang out at your place. Baji was annoyed, but you didn't care. You were glad to have Draken around. You guys went to Baji's room. Grabbing the bag, you dumped all the snacks on the floor for all of you to share.

"Wanna play?" You said as you held the controller.

Draken nodded. You guys were playing while Baji was just sitting on the bed watching. He still hasn't said a word. After some time, you got thirsty so you got up to get some water.

"Never thought you'd be so quiet. You're always loud."

"Shut up."

"So, why are you quiet all of a sudden?"

"Cause..."

"Is it because of what happened? Don't let it get to you. It wasn't your fault, you weren't the one who did it."

"I still feel like it's my fault. I feel bad for Mikey. I wanna apologize, but I know he won't forgive me."

"Come on dude, Mikey will forgive you. I know that he's still going through it, but he'll eventually forgive you. Just give him some time."

"I don't know."

"Stop being all sad, it's weird. I'm used to seeing you all loud and annoying."

"Tch. I'm not annoying."

"Sure you're not." He said sarcastically.

Just then, you came back. You noticed that Baji got quiet again once you came back.

Why is he acting like this?

You sighed at the thought. You sat back down next to Draken and continued playing. Some time had passed and Ryoko came back from work.

She went up to the room and saw there was a guest. "Oh, you guys brought a friend over. Hello there."

"Hey." Draken said.

"Are you guys eating snacks? You know you're supposed to have a meal first before eating snacks. I'll start on making dinner."

"Can I help?" You asked.

"Of course you can!"

You got up to go help Ryoko make dinner. You gave the controller to Baji and thought he could talk to Draken. You knew he was still feeling down, so you thought Draken might help him feel better. So now, it was just the two boys alone.

"You gonna play or what?"

"No."

"Come on, don't be like that."

"Fine." Baji got out the bed and sat next to him.

"You gotta distract yourself. You can't be all sad. You don't want Y/N worrying about you all the time do you?"

"I keep telling her not to worry, but she still does."

"I can't blame her. You keep doin all this dumb shit, so why wouldn't she worry."

"She should mind her own business then."

"Is that what you want? Do want her to stop caring?"

Baji just shrugged. Draken didn't want to say anything to avoid any arguments.

Back in the kitchen, you were helping Ryoko make some chicken katsu. You made the rice while she cooked the chicken. After some time, the food was now ready.

"Thanks Y/N-chan. Now go tell the boys dinner is ready." You nodded as you made your way to tell the boys.

"Dinner is ready."

"We just need a few minutes before we finish this round." Baji said. You just waited for them to stop playing.

"Sorry for the wait Y/N." Draken said as he got up.

"It's ok, I don't mind."

The three of you made your way to the table and sat down.

"What took you so long?" Ryoko asked.

"Just had to finish a round in the game." Baji said.

"I swear I'm going to take that console away someday."

"But mom." Baji whined.

"Just eat already."

You and Draken sat next to each across from Ryoko and Baji. Having Draken eat with you guys made you feel like you guys were a family. You liked the feeling and got to enjoy your dinner. You guys finished and put your dishes where it belonged.

The three of you went back to Baji's room to hang out. Draken did stay a little longer. You guys just spent that time playing and chatting. You had a feeling that something might've happened between Baji and Draken since they didn't talk to each other. You wanted to ask, but didn't want to be nosy. Draken had to leave, so you walked him to the door while Baji stayed in his room.

"We should hang out more." Draken said.

"Yeah, we should."

"Then let's go out tomorrow since I got nothing to do."

"Yeah, ok."

"Alright, I'll see you tomorrow then. Bye."

You gave him a hug and said bye to him as he left. Baji was there. He saw you hug him.

Why the fuck did she hug him?! Why am I getting mad at this?

He went back to his room before you noticed him. You went into the kitchen and saw Ryoko cleaning the dishes. She looked tired so you offered to do them for her.

"You don't have to wash them, I got it."

"But you look tired. I just want to help."

She was surprised. She didn't think you'd noticed how tired she was. She would always try and hide how tired she feels so you guys don't have to worry about her.

"Please, just let me help. You can go and sleep."

She dried her hands. "Thank you Y/N-chan, I really need some rest." She patted your head and left to her room.

You started washing the dishes that were left. I'm worried about her. She keeps working so much.

Once you were done, you went over to Baji's room. He was still playing. You grabbed a manga book and laid down on the bed.

"Do you like Draken?" Baji asked out of the blue.

You looked over at Baji confused. Why is he asking? "Yeah."

Hearing you say that made Baji feel something inside. He didn't know exactly what he felt and why he felt that way, but another part of him felt jealous of Draken. You didn't know he meant it as in having a crush, you thought he meant it as just liking someone as a friend.

I shouldn't have asked. Now I'm feeling all weird.

"Why did you ask?"

"Just wanted to know." I wish I didn't know.
