My Hero // Baji Keisuke

Once you stopped crying, you left your room and noticed Baji wasn't home. You asked Ryoko if she knew where he was. She said that he went to go for a walk. You put on your shoes and left. You looked everywhere for him. You were getting tired, but still continued to look for him.

Where could he be?

You ended up near a bridge and saw a familiar figure. You went down and started approaching the person. It's him! You quickly made your way to him.

"Baji-san?"

Baji looked up. His eyes were red and puffy. "You heard about what happened didn't you?"

"Yeah."

"It wasn't supposed to go that way. He wasn't supposed to be dead. We just wanted to give Mikey a new bike, but we ended up doing something much worst."

You couldn't say anything. You just listened to what Baji had to say.

"Why did it have to be this way?"

Just hearing his voice made you feel bad for him. You knew he was feeling guilty. You wanted to try and comfort him, but you thought there was nothing you could do. Without thinking, you hugged him. Baji was caught by surprise when you hugged him. He felt his heart beating.

Why now?

"I'm here for you. If you ever need someone, I got you."

Baji had never expected you to say anything like that. It was always him telling you that he'd protect you and be there for you. He felt a little better hearing you say that.

"Thanks Y/N, I appreciate it."

The two of you stayed there for a while in silence. You were just zoned out staring at the sky.

I still can't believe Kazutora killed Shinchiro-san. Did he do it on purpose? I don't know what to think anymore.

"Wanna to go back home?"

You looked over at Baji and nodded. You guys walked back home in silence. Once you arrived, Baji went straight to his room while you stayed in the living room. You wanted to give Baji some space. You laid down on the couch just staring at the ceiling. Ryoko made her way in the living room and sat down.

"Hey Y/N-chan, how are you feeling?"

"I don't know."

"I know you might be feeling all kinds of emotions right now, but eventually everything will get better. I know you and Kazutora got along and hearing that one of your friends did such a thing is terrible. I know Keisuke is also feeling that way. I just wish there was something I could do for the both of you."

Ryoko-san is really nice. I'm glad I have her to count on. "I just don't know how to feel about Kazutora right now. I thought we would become good friends and get to hang out. I did help him and he was starting to get better. I really wanted to get to know him better, but I just don't know anymore."

"It's ok if your feeling confused. Maybe you can visit him and talk to him. Once you do, you'll know whether you still want to have contact with him or not."

I don't know if I want to visit him. I feel like I can't do it. Maybe I should just forget about him. "I'll think about it."

She got up and left. You wanted to go check up on Baji, so you got up and went to his room. You knocked on the door, it was silent. Since he didn't answer, you decided to open the door and let yourself in. Baji was just in bed. He had his eyes closed, but he wasn't sleeping.

"I feel bad for Mikey. Shinchiro is now gone and it's our fault. I can never forgive myself for that."

"It was an accident."
