//This is the last chapter😭 hope you enjoy and read the slightly dramatic author's note at the end.
Victoria's POV
I sent one last thankful smile to Elijah before running downstairs and to the courtyard.
I saw him silently sitting on a chair and appears to be in deep thought. I slowly approached him, my heels clinking on the floor that got his attention and turned to where I was.
"Hey." I smiled and he did too. I walk further and now standing by his side.
"Can we talk?" He glanced up to me and hesitantly nodded.
"Of course. About what?"
Oh nothing, just wanna confess feelings, no biggie! Right?
"I...uh, come with me" I didn't give him a chance to reply, I just grabbed his hand and pulled him with me as I sped us up the roof.
He looked at me confused. Before he could talk, I put a hand up to silence him.
"Shh. I have to tell you something, I need your opinion on it and be serious about this okay?" I said it word per word as if I was talking to a child.
He looked at me, greatly amused by this but I just started anyways.
"Okay, so...when I was human, I met this guy-he had nice, perfectly styled hair, Eyes that just makes me want to crumble down the floor and melt. And his oh-so amazing eye catching smile. It's just wonderful how he brightens up the room with that simple action." When I stopped, I turned to look at him and he had an unreadable expression on his face.
"And then, I fell in love with him that night at a ball...." I trailed off
Flashback (Continuation of the ball)
I turned my back away from Kol and started to walk back inside, but he tugged my wrist back and when I look back up, I was greeted by those chocolate brown eyes of his.
"Now, darling. It's rude to walk away from gorgeous people who are talking to you" He said in a playful tone but I could still hear arrogance in it.
"Walk with me" And I on the other hand, seemed like I just got caught in his trance and nodded.

"Alright. Now that I have given you your moments of silence, care to enlighten me on what has brought a frown onto that beautiful face of yours? Maybe I can help"
I felt an odd knot in my stomach when he said that I was beautiful. I know that Elijah told me that too probably a lot of times before but every time Kol compliments me, it's somehow different.
"It is very thoughtful of you to try and help me but I do not wish to drag you into my problem. I'm sure it's just me or whatever" I mumbled the last sentence as I walk more and I had noticed he stopped.
"Okay. Then drag me" I raised an eyebrow and turned my head to his direction.
"Pardon?" I asked but couldn't hide the smile creeping up my face.
"I'm letting you drag me with you on your problem. I do not mind" I rolled my eyes.
I turned away from him with a huff. "I told you. I'm fine" I said, stubbornly walking towards him and a giggle escaped my lips as I stepped on removed the leaf hanging on his hair.
At the moment I stared back up on his eyes that were shimmering from the moonlight, something must have possessed me because next thing I knew, I was opening up to him.
