Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Beyond Fate

Sora's POV

I wake up, a bit tired from last nights long hike through the wasteland. I notice I'm the first to wake up, so I decide to just stand watch until everyone wakes up. After a while, I hear a noise coming from behind and see Eunie wake up.

Eunie:" Sora? Your awake first?"
Sora:" Yep. Surprised?"
Eunie:" What'd you think? Your the last person to wake up before anyone else."
Sora:" True. I just like sleeping. I'm a lazy person, you know this already."
Eunie:" Are you really? These past days, you haven't been lazy at all, you know? You've been working as hard, well maybe not as much, but you still work hard."
Sora:" I gotta pull my weight. I don't want to slow you guys down at all."
Eunie:" You don't. Not at all, I hope you know that."

We go quiet after that, just watching the sun rise and occasionally looking back at everyone sleeping. For some reason, I'm... happy right now. To be talking to Eunie like this. I decide to ask a question.

Sora:" Hey Eunie?"
Eunie:" What's up?"
Sora:" If I knew something... something important... and didn't tell you guys. How would you react."
Eunie:"... Honestly, I'd be upset. You knew something that could help us but just didn't say anything... How could I trust you?" She says bluntly.
Sora:" Oh..."

Well she has a point. I know how everything goes but just decided not to say anything, how else would she react?

Eunie:" Well that's only if I didn't know you as much as I do know."
Sora:" Huh?"
Eunie:" We've only known each other for a few days but you've risked your life so many times already. You can't fight but you still try your best. I know you have some big secret, and that I'd be very upset about it. But I trust you."
Noah:" We all do."

I turn around and see everyone awake, all looking at me.

Noah:" When Vandham said you knew who he was, despite being new to our world... we knew you were hiding something."
Lanz:" We talked about it a bunch. We wondered about it a lot but decided you, like us, are allowed to have secrets."
Mio:" They might not be as big as yours is... but Sora, you've proven that you can be trusted."
Sena:" You comfort us, assure us, and you make us laugh... so what if you can't fight? We can train you up!"
Taion:" At first, I was skeptical of you, always watching and wondering what you would do. But after our encounter with Moebius and during our journey here... I deduced you can be trusted Sora."
Riku:" Riku call Sora Heropon because Sora act like hero. Heads towards danger without batting eye and prevails. Sora is good person."
Manana:" Sora always helpful when cleaning up, and Manana likes it when Sora pick Manana up. Very cuddly."

I look at them all and smile, happy to know that I'm trusted. This collar I have on me, the one Terumi gave me, made me feel like I was trapped but I guess I'm not. Not with these guys.

Sora:" Thanks guys... let's get going." I say as I turn around." I promise I'll tell you all my secret. One day I will."
Eunie:" You better." She says, playfully hitting my arm.

We clean up camp and head out, still walking south to our destination. As we continue walking up mountain, I notice Noah walking behind a bit so I stop and notice Mio doing the same.

Sora:" If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were being a copycat?"
Mio:" Oh really? To me, it seems like we just act the same at times. What a coincidence."
Noah:" You both act the same so much, it's hard to tell the difference." He says as he walks with us.
Sora:" Well that's easy to tell. I'm tall and don't have cat ears." Mio playfully shoves me.
Mio:" Very funny, Sora. Anyway, can I ask you something, Noah?"
Noah:" What is it?"
Mio:" Your Blade... it's special, isn't it? Sometimes one part of it... glows. Why's that?"
Noah:" You can tell? That's amazing."
Sora:" Well, when it looks different from other Blades and makes a weird sound sometimes, it's kind of hard not to notice."
Noah:" Really? You noticed it too Sora?"
Sora:" Yep."
