"So our guest for today is non-other than THE Ayo of A-Class Photography" A round of applause is heard from the crowd. Ayo smiles as the camera does a close-up on him.

"It has been a month since you had an exhibition that shook us to the core" the host says and he chuckles a little

"This flattery is quite much" he says with a smile

"No, it is not. It is deserving. I was not opportune to attend the exhibition but from all the rave from the attendees and social media it was quite the event". the host complements and he melts into it like butter on fire.

"I am so grateful for the positive feedbacks my team and i have been getting after the exhibition. i would like to thank each and every one of my team for helping to make the exhibition a success. From the photographers to the event planners, down to the ushers, thank you so much, and also to the people that honoured my invitation, i am really grateful". he says nervously

"quite the humble guy i see. Moving on to the pictures that were exhibited there is one that happens to capture everyone's attention" she starts.

I know the picture she is talking about, it is a picture that resembles a painting. In the picture, it was night time, and it was raining heavily accompanied by really terrifying lightening. There was a person in the picture who was airborne. The person wore a flowing light blue silk gown with golden bangles, and rings. One of her hands was raised to the sky as if trying to grab a hold of the lightening while the rain poured down heavily on her. The picture is a bit blurry, i remember the picture because i was with her when she took it. I remember is took so many takes- almost thirty if not more just to get that one she likes. I remember how i begged her to do it when the rain reduced but she ignored me and went on jumping under the rain like a mad person on crack. I remember how drenched she looked whenever the picture was taken and she came to check if the result was exactly what she pictured in her head. I remember her scolding me for wanting to hold the camera and take the picture for her instead of her putting the camera on timer, and running back and forth just to set it again when it goes off because it won't give it that 'still birth' effect she wants it to have. I remember being confused and amused because of the context with which the word 'stillbirth' in. I remember her shivering that night on her bed while thanking God that it was a weekend and she didn't have to leave for work the next day. I remember holding her in my arms all night - even though she protested at first - while she was covered head to toe in blankets and sweaters. I remember falling in love with all over again as i watched her jump up and down in the rain just to capture that moment. I remember her doing all that even with her slight fear of rain in open spaces. I remember that picture because it was her. Watching them talk about it on TV i wish she were awake to watch it.

"ah..." he says smiling sadly

"I can see you know the exact photograph i'm talking about" the host says not noticing the sadness in his eyes

"How can i not when i had the same feeling everyone had when i first saw it" he says smiling proudly this time

"may i ask who the mastermind behind the famous photograph is? because i remember someone tagged you complementing your genius, you simply replied saying that you are the genius behind the genius that took the photograph. Ladies and gentlemen you need to see this photograph it looks like a painting, i cannot believe that a camera and a person created this" They proceed to show the crowd the picture "and i heard it is not yet up for sale however, it is not stopping the bids from coming in. I heard a rumour that someone offered N10,000,000 (Ten Million Naira) for the painting. What do you have to say to that?"

"i have no idea which to answer first - he laughs - the truth is, that picture was not meant to be among the exhibition, i had to literally beg the genius behind that picture so i could put it on display and she agreed only on the condition that i do not sell it yet"

"so it's a she" she smiles suggestively making the crowd laugh

"yes, it is A she, not The She" placing emphasis on the definite and indefinite article

"Okay, tell us about this 'A She'"

"She is an amazing photographer, very creative. I saw this piece of hers it was nameless she wanted to leave it nameless, infact a lot of her pieces are nameless but after much cajoling from me and and everyone else she decided to name is "E".

"E? - he nods - why E" the host looked puzzled

"She said it's the first letter of the word emotion, so whatever a person feels when they see the picture it falls under the emotions hence the letter 'E'"

"Wow"

He nods "impressive i know"

"I think i just became her fan. We would like to meet her, well i would i don't know about others but i honestly want to meet her that is if you don't mind" the host says and he just looks at her with a smile but you could tell it isn't genuine, his eyes glazed over with sadness for a second

"She's a big Nancy Isime fan, i'll let her know" he says.

I turn off the tv in her room and face her, still unmoving, just her chest moving up and down and the sound of the heart monitor that is giving me hope that she's still here.

"I didn't know you were a fan of Nancy Isime, I could have taken you on a date to her show. i should have known. Anyways, i need you to wake up, Nancy just became your fan, she even wants to meet you. Please wake up" i whisper to her as i kiss her hand.

It's been two months, no sign of he waking up or wanting to wake up. I am so terrified that she may never wake up, that this heart monitor would just flatline one day and she'd leave us and go, it scares me to my core. I don't know how i will bear with the loss, i pray every day for her to wake up, i can't let her go, i won't.

"Just because you can't hear me doesn't mean i will stop talking to you. i don't care if you can hear or not but i wish you ca so you can know just how much i miss you. I don't know when you'll wake up but till then i'll continue looking at your beautiful face. I've always known that you are beautiful but even in this state your skin is still popping" i laugh "but honestly Ala i miss you so much. I miss seeing you glare at me, i miss your shy face whenever i say something that shocks you. I look forward to seeing you every time i wake up. I know i hate that you are in a coma but i'll take it over six feet any day. Awake or asleep, you brighten up my day, awake or asleep Tamuno-Ala i love you and you deciding to sleep for longer will not and cannot stop me from loving you"

"So you know, i'm not giving up on you, i'll stay by your side until you decide that you are tired of sleeping".
