Chaeyoung POV
I entered the psychiatrist's office, my emotions hidden behind a carefully crafted mask of calm determination. There he was, Dr. Byun, my psychiatrist, glancing at me, sensing the intensity radiating from my presence. This was my last session before the trials, the final chance to convince them of my innocence and reveal the true culprit behind the wrongful accusations that had threatened to shatter my life.
"Chaeyoung," Dr. Byun began, his tone cautious, "I sense a change in your demeanor. Is there something specific you'd like to discuss today?"
I leaned forward, meeting his gaze with unwavering intensity. "Dr. Byun, I've spent months preparing for this moment. I know who's responsible for framing me, and I'm ready to reveal the truth during the trials. I won't let them destroy my life any longer."
Dr. Byun's eyes widened slightly, and he leaned in as well, intrigued by my newfound determination. "Chaeyoung, you better drop your act. It's fine if you're feeling scared to admit it. I can assure you that if you stay true to your words, the judges will reduce the sentence."
A chilling smile crept across my face. "Wait, Dr. Byun, are you suggesting that I'm the one who did all of that? I mean, sure, my 14-year-old self may have had some issues, but calling me a psychopath? That's a bit much." I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
Dr. Byun paused for a moment, considering my words. "Well, if that's really the case, i think i can help you."
"Yeah, what's that?" I scoffed. He then unbuckled his belt pants and walk towards me. It was clear he had misunderstood my intentions.
I feel my blood boiling, anger rushing through my veins. I smile, and before he knows it, I kick him where it hurts so bad, and I guarantee he'll never have those intentions again. I then put a knife to his throat.
"You may look stunning, doctor, but I can assure you I won't hesitate to kill you. So, if you really care about that stupid face of yours, I suggest you be cooperative. Understood?" He nods his head while flinching in pain.
Revenge is a means to an end, but my focus remains on the truth and reclaiming the life that has been unjustly stolen from me. The trials will be a battle, and I'm prepared to fight with every ounce of strength and conviction I have.
I was greeted by my lawyer, Kai. He was leaning against his car door, waving his hand.
"How did it go with Dr. Byun?" he asked.
"Well, let's just say he won't be a problem for us." I smiled proudly.
"Hmm, what did you do, Chaeyoung-ssi?" I smirked at him and proceeded to get into his car.
As I settled in, Kai's curious expression spoke volumes. I leaned in closer, lowering my voice. "Let's just say I used my skills to convince him that cooperation is the best course of action. We'll see the results soon enough."
Kai raised an eyebrow, impressed and intrigued. "You really have a way, Chaeyoung-ssi. I'm glad you're on our side."
I chuckled softly, my confidence bolstered by his words. "We're a team, Kai. We'll do whatever it takes to reveal the truth and make sure justice is served." Our eyes locked, a shared determination burning brightly. Together, we were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
