Chaeyoung POV

I was playing at my friend's house when the event occurred. I didn't know what would happen next, if I did, I wouldn't have come home. After several hours, I decided to head home, as it was already noon. I bid my friend goodbye and walked home. As I approached, I saw a cluster of police cars and a yellow police line. Panic gripped me. I ran and pushed through them, and there I saw my parents lying on the ground, blood splattered everywhere. I felt a tear forming in my eye. Then a police officer grabbed my arm.

"Hold on a second, who are you, kid? Why are you here?"

"It's... It's my mom and dad... Who... Who did this..."

"You better come to the police station with us; we need your information. Is there someone you could call?" I shook my head, realizing I didn't see my sister anywhere; she was nowhere in sight.

"Alright, then follow us." The police officers took me to the police station.

They took me to the interrogation room. Despite being only 14 years old, I had picked up quite a bit from the movies and shows I had watched. Then the door opened and reveal a woman with a stack of files in her hand. She put it on the desk and leaned towards me.

"Hi. My name is Ms. Young. You can call me Madam Tiffany or Ms. Young. Anything that suits you." I could feel something is off with this woman, and I plan to keep fighting for justice and, of course, protecting my sister.

"So, I heard from your school that you are a brilliant student, but you're also involved in fights with the girls in your peer group

"So, I heard from your school that you are a brilliant student, but you're also involved in fights with the girls in your peer group."

"No, I am not. They did."

"Well, I'm sure you've said that many times to your parents and teachers. Next, I see here you have a sister, her name is Alice, correct? Where is she?"

"No clue."

"Huh, so she ran away then, with her boyfriend perhaps?" I kept my mouth shut.

"Well, mind telling me where you were when your parents were killed? Were you running away?"

"Wait, what? You think I did all of that?" I looked at her in disbelief. She smirked while tapping her pen.

"The fingerprints, they're all yours, even the gun. So, no need to deny it if you want the judges to consider reducing the sentence."

"What are you saying... You think? Oh my god..." I laughed, unable to believe what I just heard from this seemingly irrational woman.

"What's so funny about this? You psychopath." I gazed at her intently, smirking, folding my arms, and refusing to answer her questions, which seemed to agitate her.

Then, someone entered the room, and I saw a man dressed in a sharp suit. He had a commanding presence, even though he didn't say or do anything. He bowed politely in our direction and then presented his name card.

"Kim Jongin, representing the Park family as their lawyer. If you need to ask anything of my client, feel free to direct your questions to me as well." I was taken aback. I never knew my mom and dad had a lawyer who was not only incredibly capable but also stunningly handsome.

"Uh, yeah... I just..." Ms. Young seems dumbfounded. Mr. Kim then took a file from his suit and put it in front of her.

"Here's information about my client's whereabouts, and as you can see, there are pictures included." I looked at the images, seeing myself entering my friend's house and leaving. I couldn't help but wonder if my parents had hired someone to keep an eye on me, or if they were already aware that someone was targeting our family. A shiver ran down my spine as I considered the possibilities.

"No, it must be photoshopped."

"Woah, lady, take a look here. Why do you think it's edited?" I retorted, my anger evident in my tone.

"Well, I can assure you, Madam..."

"Ms. Young, if you may."

"Well, yes, Ms. Young, it's clear that my client was merely playing at her friend's house. I can guarantee it." The lawyer's confidence was palpable as he defended my actions.

I truly believed that with that evidence, I wouldn't be a suspect. But, to my dismay, Ms. Young easily manipulated all of the data, and even worse, my friend didn't stand by me, leaving me feeling deeply hurt and heartbroken. That event left a profound impact on me, and I made a solemn vow to avenge all those involved, whether it's through good karma or bad, I'll make sure they taste the consequences of their actions. My determination to seek justice became unshakable.
