Chaeyoung POV

"Why don't you go?" Mingyu's voice broke my thoughts.

"What do you mean?"

"Eun Woo..."

"Oh, you heard huh..."

"Why?"

"I told you, i can't be with him. He'll only suffer, he needs relationships and i don't."

"Well, I didn't see that last night. I just think you don't really have feelings towards Eun Woo, only impressed by his attitude towards you, how gentle he is." This is what I don't like about Mingyu, he can read me, not always but sometimes. But when he does, he knows damn well.

We finally arrived at my uncle's office, but it's not the typical kind of office you'd imagine. It's more like a shabby-looking storehouse, giving off a vibe that this isn't a legitimate business. In fact, it's quite the opposite – it's an underground operation. My uncle deals in things that would definitely attract the attention of the police, but he's skilled at staying one step ahead of them.

"Chaeyoung, Mingyu, my favorite pupils," Teddy oppa exclaimed, his smile sending a chill down my spine.

"What is it, dad?" Oh, have I told you that Teddy oppa is Mingyu's father? He adopted Mingyu because he's an orphan. As for me, Teddy oppa is a good friend of my parents and he's my uncle, so yeah, basically, Mingyu and I are like stepcousins.

"Listen, I was looking for your parents' murderer, and I was this close to finding some significant leads," Teddy oppa said with a serious expression.

"I've been waiting for my whole life to do this, so I'm ready when you say the word."

"Not yet, you have to at least undergo training, so that you can become a better and more skilled assassin."

"When do I start?"

"Whoa, wait a second. Chaeyoung, are you sure? I thought you were done being a vigilante," said Mingyu with a worried expression on his face.

"No, my revenge has just started, and I won't stop," I said with a determined tone.

"That's my girl. Well then, tomorrow morning we'll start. Be prepared, and oh, one more thing, don't think just because you're my favorite means I'll go easy on you."

"No need to worry, oppa, I can handle the pressure."

As I prepared myself for the grueling training ahead, I couldn't help but feel a sense of purpose. The path ahead would be challenging, but it was a journey I was determined to take. For my parents, for justice, and for the people I cared about, I would do whatever it took to bring those responsible to justice.

The next morning, as the sun began to rise, I found myself standing in a training area within the shabby-looking storehouse. Teddy oppa, dressed in a simple black outfit, looked every bit the seasoned professional he was. Mingyu, by my side, was equally determined. We were about to dive into a world of skills and techniques that went far beyond anything we had encountered before.

Teddy oppa started with the basics, teaching us about stealth, evasion, and hand-to-hand combat. He pushed us to our limits, demanding precision and control in every move. As the hours passed, I felt exhaustion creeping in, but I pushed through. My parents' faces flashed before my eyes, giving me the strength to endure.

Mingyu and I worked as a team, sparring with each other, practicing our coordination and communication. There were moments of frustration, moments when I stumbled and Mingyu's reassuring presence steadied me. Together, we were determined to become the best we could be.

Days turned into weeks, and our training intensified. Teddy oppa introduced us to weaponry, both firearms and edged weapons. He taught us how to blend in, gather information, and read people. Each skill was a step closer to becoming the avenging force I needed to be.

As the sun set one evening, we took a break, catching our breath and reflecting on our progress. Teddy oppa looked at us with a mixture of pride and satisfaction. "You two have come a long way in a short time," he said, his voice carrying a hint of approval. "But remember, this path is treacherous. You'll face situations that will test you in ways you can't imagine."

I nodded, absorbing his words. I knew the challenges would be daunting, but I was ready to face them head-on. "I understand, Teddy oppa. I'm prepared to face whatever comes our way."

Mingyu chimed in, echoing my sentiment. "We're in this together, and we won't back down."

Teddy oppa smiled, a rare sight that showed genuine warmth. "That's the spirit. We'll continue to train, hone your skills, and when the time is right, we'll strike. But until then, stay vigilant, stay focused, and trust in each other."

As the training resumed, I felt a newfound determination burning within me. The journey ahead would be dangerous, but with Mingyu and Teddy oppa by my side, I knew I was no longer alone. We were a team, united by a shared goal: to bring justice to those who had taken everything from me. And together, we would stop at nothing to achieve it.
