Rose POV

The first light of dawn filters through the heavy curtains, casting a soft, golden glow across the room. I stir slowly, feeling the warmth of the bed and the comforting presence beside me. Jungkook is still here, his arm draped protectively around my waist, his steady breathing the only sound in the quiet room. For a moment, I let myself forget the tension of the previous night, savoring this peaceful moment.

But as the memories of our conversation come flooding back, a knot forms in my stomach. The danger he spoke of, the uncertainty—it all feels so much more real in the light of day. I carefully shift in the bed, trying not to wake him, but his grip on me tightens, pulling me closer."Morning," he murmurs, his voice husky with sleep."Morning," I reply, my voice soft. I turn to face him, finding his eyes already open, watching me with that familiar intensity. "Did you sleep okay?"

Jungkook nods slightly, his gaze never leaving mine. "Better than I expected, with you here." He reaches up, brushing his thumb across my cheek, his touch sending a warm shiver down my spine. "How about you? Any bad dreams?"

I shake my head. "No, just... a lot on my mind, I guess." I pause, searching his face for any sign of what's to come. "Jungkook, what's our plan? What do we do now?"He sighs, his hand dropping to rest on the bed between us. "We need to keep a low profile, at least for today. I've arranged for extra security, but I still want us to be cautious. I don't want to take any chances."

I nod, trying to absorb the seriousness in his tone. "Okay. I'll follow your lead."

Jungkook sits up slightly, propping himself up on one elbow as he looks down at me. "Rose, I know this isn't what you expected when we planned this trip. I'm sorry it's turned out like this."I reach out, taking his hand in mine. "You don't have to apologize. I know you're doing everything you can to keep me safe, and that's what matters. We'll get through this together, remember?"

He smiles, though there's a hint of sadness in his eyes. "Yeah, together." He leans down, pressing a soft kiss to my forehead. "Let's get ready and face the day. We'll figure it out as we go."

I nod, feeling a mix of anxiety and determination bubbling up inside me. Whatever today brings, I'm ready to face it—with Jungkook by my side.

As we get out of bed and start our morning routine, the tension from last night lingers in the air, but so does the sense of connection between us. This might not be the peaceful trip I imagined, but it's a test of something deeper, something that binds us together even in the face of uncertainty.

Jungkook moves around the room with purpose, gathering his things while keeping a close eye on me. I can see the gears turning in his mind, planning, strategizing, always thinking ahead. It's one of the things I admire about him—his ability to stay calm and focused, no matter what's happening around him.

As I finish getting dressed, I catch his eye in the mirror, and he gives me a reassuring nod. "Ready?"

I take a deep breath and nod back. "Ready."

We step out of the room together, and as the door closes behind us, I can't help but feel like we're stepping into something unknown, something that could change everything. But with Jungkook by my side, I know I can face whatever comes our way.
