Tk's pov:

It's the morning after our wedding.
I walk in the kitchen, and Carlos is making breakfast. "Hey, husband," I say playfully. He smiles weakly, "Hey," he says. "You okay?" I ask. He doesn't answer. "We're married now. No secrets," I say. "It's just.." he says. "Are you having second thoughts?" I ask. "No, no. Not at all. I just.." his hand is shaking. I take the knife from him. "Let me do that," I say. "Now, what's wrong?" I ask. He leans against the counter. "I just.." he says, his voice breaking. He looks down. He's been holding it in.. we eat breakfast..

"Now come here," I say, sitting on the couch. "Okay," he says, sitting next to me. "I want you to cry," I say. He looks at me confused. "What?" He asks. "You have been holding it in. You haven't given yourself any time to grieve," I say. He looks down. "I'm fine," he says. I look at him. "I said I'll be fine.." he says. I grab his shoulders. "Just let it all out. It's just us," I say. Tears start falling. "He's gone, Tk.. I always.. thought he would be my best m man.." he cries. "Don't get me wrong, I'm so happy we got married.. but.." he says, looking at me. "But it felt wrong.." I ask. "Yeah.." he says. "I know.. I always thought that my mom would walk me down the aisle.." I say. "But as my dad said.. not even death would make them miss it.. they were there.." I say, kissing his head. "But.. that doesn't mean you don't still miss them.. I know I do.." I say. "But I've had time to process my m moms death.. You didn't.." I say. He looks up at me. He buries his head in my chest and just cries.

Judd's pov:

I look in the window and then turn around. "We can come back later," I whisper. "Why?" Owen whispers. "Someone's currently trying to grieve," I say vaguely. "Oh.. yeah.. he hasn't really had much time to do that.." Marjan says. "Okay, let's go," Owen says.
