Crisis - Station 19 (Part 3)

A few minutes after Maya said that, she fell asleep in the chair.

Andy slowly wakes up after a little while. She stirs slightly and quietly groans. Maya wakes up from her nap immediately. "H- Hey.. Andy, can you hear me?.." Maya says calmly. Andy slightly starts opening her eyes. "Mmm.. Maya?.." She mumbles. "Yeah, yeah, it's me.. I'm right here, Andy.." Maya says. Andy looks down at her bandaged body. "Mmm?.." She tries to take the mask off her face. "No, no, keep it on. It's still helping you breathe.." Maya says. Andy nods slightly. She grabs Maya's hand. Maya smiles at Andy. "You're okay.. I have to go get the doctor, let them know you're awake, okay?.." Maya says calmly. Andy nods, and Maya walks out.

Dr. Shephard (Amelia) comes in and does a neuro check on Andy... "Can you tell me what year it is?.." She asks. "It's.. 2023.." Andy mumbles. "Good.. your name?.." "Andrea Herrara.." She replies. "You know who that is?.." Amelia points to Maya. Andy nods. "Maya.." She mumbles a reply. "Are you having a hard time talking?.. that might be from the anesthesia, but we'll keep an eye on it.." Amelia says, checking her pupils. "Can you follow my finger with your eyes?.." Amelia asks, moving her finger up and down and back and forth. Andy's eyes follow it. "Okay. Well, you look good neurologically.. we'll keep an eye on that stutter, though.." Amelia says. Andy nods. "Th- Thank you.." Andy says. Amelia nods and walks out, closing the door behind her...

Andy looks at Maya. "I'm sorry I didn't.. tell you.. about the uh.. what Paul was doing to me.." She mumbles. "Hey, it's okay.. I.. I'm sorry I didn't see it sooner.." Maya says. "No, no, it's okay. It's.. I hide things well.." Andy mumbles. "I know that.. but I shouldn't have been so focused on myself and my issues.." Maya says quickly. "Maya, can you.. ugh.. not do that right now?.." Andy mumbles. "Yeah.. don't try to move.." Maya replies.

Andy is silent for a while. "Maya?.." Andy mumbles. "Yea?.." Maya asks, sitting up. "What did I say while I was out of it? Like, did I say anything?" Andy asks, as if she already knows the answer. "Well.. you did say something.. but you were just a little loopy from the blood loss.." Maya smiles reassuringly. "What did I say?.." Andy asks. "Uh.. are you sure you wanna hear it?.. I mean, you don't have t-" Maya gets interrupted. "Don't. Just tell me..." Andy says sternly.

"Okay.. well, you asked for your dad.."
