Life is a misery.

All through my life, I lived to prove that phrase. I was young when I lose the one who gave me birth and eighteen when I lose my dad. I was too innocent when the world welcomed me with misfortune. I use to believe that maybe I was cursed, lahat nalang ng bagay na meron ako ay kinukuha sa akin ng kapalaran.

But when Jean came to my life, she help me open my eyes to witness what reality is. Tinulungan niya akong tanggapin ang panuntunan ng kapalaran. Natuto din akong lumabas sa lugar kung saan ako kumportable. I learned to get out from my comfort zone who was actually the one who chained me.

So when time comes that the world planned on taking her away from me, I pledge to still love her even though we're far from each other, I promised to remember her every single day and I vowed that when our roads would meet again, I will not waste such a moment and embrace her.

"I still don't trust you James, but thanks for the info."

Napaigting ang tenga ko nang marinig babaeng nagsasalita sa speaker, it was a recorded conversation with Jean and James. Hindi ko maisawang mamangha sa pamamaraan ng pagsasalita nito, she doesn't just become braver but more tougher.

Ilang araw na din nang makarating ako ulit sa bansa, hindi ako nag-aksaya ng oras at pasekretong sinusundan si Jean. Matagal ko na ding alam na may anak kami, noong nalaman ko ito ay gusto ko agad na bumalik para puntahan siya. Gusto kong lumaki ang anak ko nang may kinikilalang ama pero hindi naman ako pinayagan ni Tito.

Tito Emanuel secretly did a DNA test to ensure that he's my son. Noong nagpositibo ito ay hindi naman sila nagalit, they even help me grow so that I could be a better dad for my son. Gusto nila na sa pagbalik ko ay buo na ako at wala nang ibang pinagkakaabalahan.

And now that I finally settle things, I can say that I'm ready to face the new phase together with my family.

Napatingin ako sa phone nang magvibrate ito. I received a text message from Kuya Emarson, paparating na daw siya kasama si Jean.

Handa na ako sa lahat para sa pagpapanggap, siya nalang ang tanging kulang para makumpleto ito. I planned to make her believe I was injured, gusto makita ang reaksyon niya sa kalagayan ko. Gusto kong malaman kung may pag-asa pa ba ako sa kanya, I want her to confess everything and the I only thing I can do to assure things is this.

But when she finally entered the room, her silence defeated me. Si kuya Emarson lang ang tanging nagsasalita at wala man lang akong narinig mula sa kanya. Gustong gusto kong imulat ang mata para tingnan kung nandito ba talaga siya pero pinigilan ko ang sarili. I still have things to confirm, ayukong mauwi lang ang lahat sa wala.

But when kuya Emarson excuse himself, that was the moment I become the happiest.

"D-Dark... I miss you."

Just four words and I was about to give up and hug her. I wanted to claim her lips immediately but her words stopped me. Marami siyang sinabi at ipinagtapat, hindi nga nito naiwasang yakapin ako.

Nagalit siya sa akin, sinisi ako at ginamit pa ang anak namin para lang mapagising ako. But whatever she does, I just don't know why it still takes me time to open my eyes.
