Seungmin PoV

I stood in the school hall, leaning against my locker, holding my books and listening to Minho and Changbin. The oldest of us told how his father acted like the biggest asshole once again.

My foot still hurt, not as bad as yesterday, but it stabbed through my whole body every time I stepped on it.

As Minho continued, I saw Hyunjin come out of a classroom and my eyes followed him as he walked down the hallway.

He looked so elegant, so majestic, like a perfect main character. "Who are you looking at?" Changbin asked who was looking in the same direction as me and when I looked at him Minho was gone.

"Where's Minho?" I asked and the older said he had gone to the restroom. "So? Who got Seungmin's attention?" I glared at him and mumbled, "Let's go to class." Then I walked past him towards the classroom.

"Seungmin! Come on tell me who it is?!" Changbin said as he ran after me and put an arm around my shoulders. "There's noeone," I said a bit annoyed and rolled my eyes. "A girl?" he said teasingly. Again I glare at him, he knew exactly that I wasn't into girls.

"I'm just kidding."

"You're an idiot."

I took the front row seat right in front of the teacher. The teachers ignore you if you sit directly in front of them because they watch out for the only back rows. That's how I often did it, since these seats are almost always empty.

Changbin sat behind me and whispered something to me but I ignored him. He kept trying to speak to me, shooting little pieces of paper at me or tapping me with pens.

I was annoyed. Annoyed by everything, by everyone, my foot hurt, I was tired just everything made me so upset.

I wanted to turn around and snap at him to stop that shit, but before I did that I asked if I could go to the restroom. With a slight rolling eyes, she let me go, which was why I rushed to the restroom and stopped in front of the mirror.

I looked at myself. My face, my glasses, my hair, my neck, my shoulders. I slowly took off my glasses, put them on the sink and turned on the faucet.

The sound of the water splashing into the sink and then down the drain was loud cause noeone else was there.

I put my hands under the water and washed my face. The water felt refreshing on my skin. It made me feel real. I was a human with a life like everyone else.

When I think about it, I could have been as born someone else, lived somewhere else, looked different, maybe I would have been a woman. I realized that every person lives a different life, every person has a different story. And I'm hardly an important character in any story. I slowly turned off the tap and wiped the water off my face with my sleeves.

I heard the door open which was why I actually wanted to leave the room. "Oh hey Seungmin. How's your foot?" I looked at the person. Hyunjin. A soft sigh escaped my lips and I said, "Better than yesterday." He smiled slightly and then nodded. "That's good." I also nodded. The mood was a little awkward. ^

"Uhm, I'm going back to class then," I said, pointing to the door. As I was about to leave, he came closer to me. I was confused and took a few steps back. But he didn't stop getting closer until I touched the sink with my leg. He looked me in the eye as he reached out and reached behind me.

"Your glasses," he said, holding them in his hand. I quickly took it from his hand, unfolded it and put it on. "T-Thanks." I said and scurried out of the restroom.

My heart was pounding. No one had ever come that close to me, except that I had a habit of resting my head on Minho's shoulder when we sat next to each other. Hyunjin could have just told me that my glasses were still there but not like that!

"Is your father home?" Minho asked me in front of the school gates and I shook my head. "But I'm tired, I don't want anyone to come over right now," I told him and he nodded understandingly.

"Bin? Do you still have cigarettes?" he asked him, whereupon the other reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a half-full pack. "Yeah, let's go to the park," he suggested, then asked again if I was sure I didn't want to come. I shook my head and said goodbye to the two.

I walked into the side alley where a cat, Moon, as I called her, immediately ran towards me from a garden. I squatted down and let her sniff my hand. Then I stroked her while she snuggled up to my shoe. "Unfortunately I forgot your meal today," I said softly and scratched her back. I felt a presence behind me.

If this is Hyunjin...

I turned around but it wasn't the person I expected. Ha-joon stood there, he was a typical bully in our school, with his two friends standing behind him, although I don't think you could call them friends.

The two walk everywhere with him as if they were dogs and he was their owner. I didn't know their names. "Well, who's that? The fag Kim Seungmin." I glared at him as I stood up. Moon had already run away. If I were a cat I would have run away from these three guys too.

"What?" I asked coldly. "You must have done the homework in English, right?" I knew exactly what he wanted. "Yeah. You haven't? That's too bad, you won't get mine," I said provocatively. The other's eyes darkened and his two friends came towards me.

They held me by my arms. I tried to free myself from the grip of the two but they were too strong. "Give me your fucking homework!" he growled. "No," I said, trying not to seem intimidated. He clenched his fists and the next moment he punched me in the stomach.

I gulped. My whole stomach tightened and I felt like I was about to throw up.

"That ain't gonna make me give you what you want either asshole," I hissed, staring straight into his eyes.

"You disgusting-" Before he could finish, someone pulled him away and pushed him against the wall. "You're the disgusting asshole here!" a person yelled at him. Hyunjin. Of course.

"Fuck off and leave him alone!" he yelled at him so the other tried to push Hyunjin away. When he failed he said: "Okay, I'll leave him alone!"

Hyunjin let go of him, the other two let go of me and walked away with him. We looked after them and then Hyunjin turned to me. We looked into each other's eyes, a slight smile forming on his lips.

Silence.

"Thanks."
