Hyunjin PoV

I had the feeling that Seungmin was hiding something from me. Since he was at a home party with Minho and Changbin, which I was also invited to but didn't want to go to, he had been acting strange.

After the party he came home and immediately locked himself in his room without saying a word to me.

At first I just thought it was because he was too tired that day, but he started talking to me less and less, going to school earlier than me and not waiting for me when we got home. He ate in silence and then immediately went back to his room to sit at his computer and play or read a book.

I tried to ask him about it but he deliberately avoided my questions. I didn't know what to do anymore so I stood in front of Changbin and Minho who were smoking under the stairs in school.

"Do either of you two know why Seungmin is acting so strange?" Changbin shook his head and Minho began to speak: "When did he start acting so different?"

"After the party you were with him," I replied, running my hand through my hair. "I just saw him frantically leaving the party," Changbin said and I sat cross-legged across from them.

A loud sigh left my mouth and I muttered, "What should I do?"

The two exchanged looks and then looked at me again.

"Hyunjin, I still don't trust you, but Seungmin does and he likes you, obviously, so please make the first move otherwise nothing will ever happen between you," Minho hissed after taking a drag on his cigarette.

"But how can I do that if he ignores me," I stated.

"No idea, but you're Hyunjin you can do it," he said and I widened my eyes. "I don't think so, you two can't imagine how nervous I get around Seungmin. My legs are getting all shaky and I want to scream in a pillow when he looks at me. I just pretend that none of this is a problem for me so that he doesn't put pressure on himself."

I looked at Changbin and he smiled, "You're really cute when you talk about Seungmin, did you know that?" I could feel heat rushing to my cheeks so I looked to the side.

I had to confront Seungmin, I wanted to know what was going on and I wanted to let him know how I felt. I wanted to share every single thought with him and every feeling I felt.

"Does he still have class?" I asked the two and they shook their heads.

"I'll tell him today and then he'll be mine," I shouted as I ran up the stairs and out of the school. I left everything in my locker, didn't even put on my jacket and ran home.

The icy winter wind hit my face and it was so cold that it hurt. Our school uniform wasn't exactly warm either and I had the feeling that my hands would break off at any moment because of the cold.

When I stood at the front door I realized that I didn't have a key with me, so I knocked and waited.

I waited and waited but the door didn't open so I knocked again.

Maybe he had gone to sleep or was playing again and didn't hear me knocking. I took my phone out of my pocket and wrote him a message.

My whole body was shaking from the cold and I could barely feel my fingers as I typed.

My warm breath formed into a cloud of smoke that merged with the air.

"Have you been kicked out again?" I could hear a familiar voice saying. I turned around and said goodbye to the man who had disappointed me so much. My expression was filled with anger but I tried to stay calm. "I wasn't kicked out," I told him, but he shook his head smiling.

"I saw how desperate you were knocking on the door, and besides you're just standing here in your school uniform without anything, the guy who let you live ther was probably disgusted that you were a gay creep. Or did you harass him and he felt uncomfortable?"

I clenched my fists and clenched my teeth.

How could a guy like him be my father?

He smiled so disgustingly that I wanted to punch him.

As I was about to say something, I could hear the door behind me opening and Seungmin coming out. He took my hand and my eyes lookdd to him. He looked like he had been drinking.

When he started talking I was sure he was drunk. He lisped but you could understand what he wanted to say.

"I would never kick him out, not like you, you asshole! He's welcome to stay with me forever because I'm not disgusted with him, but with you!" he shouted at my father and clung to me tighter and tighter.

My father started saying things that would only hurt me so I stopped listening to him and quietly said to Seungmin, "Let's go inside."

"No. I want to make it clear to your father what a loss it treating you like that!" Seungmin shouted and wanted to turn around but I pushed him into the house. "It's okay, he won't change his mind," I mumbled and closed the door.

"But that's so sad Hyunjin... My father wasn't the best either but he would have accepted me no matter what..." I could see slight tears in his eyes when he said that which is why I ran my hand through his hair.

"It's okay... He doesn't have to accept me when someone like you does."

I let out a long sigh and then asked, "Why are you drunk Minnie?"

He was silent for a brief moment, lowered his head and looked at the ground. "Don't leave me...please," he whispered and began to bite his nails. "I'll stay. But please tell me what's been going on with you lately."

"I-I drank so I could forget what happened... I don't want those images in my head anymore, I want it to go away. I want to destroy those pictures that keep coming up in my head!" Tears streamed from his eyes down his cheeks.

He narrowed his eyes as I asked, "What exactly do you mean?"
