“Everyone, gather in! We need a picture!” Tavia said.
“Can we just eat please?!” Percy whined.
“No! We need memories!” Tavia yelled. We just went with the flow and stood in front of the wall that had the Auburn Nights seal on it. Tavia set her phone on a tripod and quickly ran over. “Smile, bitches!” She said. I quickly plastered on a smile and hugged my Vinny close to me.
Finally, once the photos were taken, we were finally able to sit down and eat our food.
“We should give thanks to something that we cherish. Who wants to go first?” Tavia asked. Percy groaned but quickly stood up.
“I’ll go.” He muttered. “I’m thankful for this food that we all worked on together. Though, it would taste better if we were allowed to just eat it!” He said, giving a glare to Tavia. She flipped him off before she stood up as Percy sat down.
“I’m thankful for all of you, of course. I’m also thankful that I was able to find a good outfit for tonight.” She said and took her seat.
Archie didn’t stand up but helped up his glass. “I’m thankful for being here with you guys.” He said in his soft voice.
Next was Dorian. “Thank you guys for not leaving me…” She said. She lowered her head as Archie rubbed his hand on her back. We all gave her a smile.
Next was me. “Shit! Uh, I’m thankful for still being alive. And… I’m thankful for you all! All of you guys are so special to me. Especially Vinny, my uh– boyfriend.” I said. Vinny winked at me and held my hand on the table. “So… thank you guys. For all the stupid shit we have and will get into.”
“Oh, I’m the last?” Vinny asked. He stood up with a proud smile on his face. “Well, I’m not one for speeches.”
“You kind of are.” Percy retorted.
“Anyways… I’m thankful for you guys, of course. If I never met you guys, I probably wouldn’t be in this very room, sharing a meal with you all. I also wouldn’t be on the student council if you guys didn’t help. I’m also thankful for Connor, my boyfriend. Oh, and my mom, who sacrificed so much to have me go here and raised me as a single mom.” Vinny ended his speech.
“Now can we eat?” Percy asked.
“Sure.” Tavia replied.
One thing I noticed about our speeches is that Vinny is the only one who mentioned a family member.
After we finished dinner, all of us sat back and relaxed with our bellies full.
“Hey, Connor! If we all go to sleep, are you and Vinny going to fuck again?” Tavia asked.
