sav's povLap 36 of the Austrian Grand Prix. Lando and Oscar are both in the top 5, Lando being p3 and Oscar being p5.
Oscar and George have been battling it out for p4 for the last 10 laps, constantly overtaking eachother. The fight allows Lando to pull away from the two.
The two are wheel to wheel into the next corner. One of them slips up, their tires hit each other causing the both of them to go off. Oscar spins multiple times before he hits the barrier hard.
Elaine gasps beside me, her hands flying up to cover her mouth in shock. Without realizing it, I mirror her expression. Tears begin to collect in her eyes as they become glossy.
I pull her into me, trying to bring her at least some comfort, a hand running up and down her back in comfort. I try to reassure her that he's going to be okay, but I'm not sure she can hear me through the headphones.
After a painfully long moment, his radio can be heard through the headphones. Groaning from the crash, the wind having been knocked out of him on impact.
Stella asks him again if he's alright, the fifth time he's asked the same question. "Yeah, good." He doesn't sound good, though. His words come out strangled as if he had to force them out.
Elaine relaxes a little at the sound of his voice, but the glistening in her eyes doesn't go away. I reassure her again and again that he's fine, but she really only lets go of me when he's back in the garage.
She weaves through a couple mechanics to hug him. He hugs her back, burying his face in her hair. She says something and he nods his head wordlessly.
"Anything damaged?" I ask him once the two rejoin me. "Cars pretty wre-" "No I mean with you." I cut him off to clarify my question. Confusion flashes over his face for the slightest of moments.
He shrugs. "Don't know, I was going to change before heading to medical." Elaine looks worried, but I roll my eyes. "Don't you think it would've been smarter to go to medical right away?" I ask, a tone that makes it sound like it's the most obvious thing, which it kind of is.
He waves me off. "Andrea told me the same thing." He begins to walk away when Elaine stops him. "Can I go with you?" She asks, her voice soft and her eyes concerned. He nods his head and she follows him to his driver's room, leaving me alone in the garage.

I slip myself next to Lando again, a new drink in my hand as I rejoin the circle of his friends. His arm snakes over my shoulders, his hand draping over my shoulder, and I reach up to tangle our hands together.
"Where'd you run off to?" He asks, squeezing my hand. He looks down at me, every part of me melting under his gaze. "Just to get a new drink." I shake my head with a smile, gesturing to the new glass in my hand.
His brows knot together. "I could've done that for you." There's a hint of a frown on his lips. "Lan, I'm not useless." I roll my eyes playfully.
"Yeah mate, she's not useless." Charles chimes in. Lando makes an attempt to kick the boy, but it fails as Charles moves back quickly and Lando seemed to not want to break the bond of our hands.
"Savannah!" Someone calls from behind me, the voice is identified when I turn around to see Elaine and Oscar walking in, hand in hand.
Oscar turned out to be okay after the crash, just a bruise here and there. Now he looks completely fine, a dress shirt and pants making him look like every other guy in the club while Elaine beside him looks absolutely stunning in her little red dress.
I gasp at her look, wrapping an arm around her neck as her and Oscar step into the empty space beside me. "You look stunning tonight." At that, she inspects my outfit. A raise of her brows after she's looked it over fully. "You look even better." She sends me a wink and I pretend to swoon over her words.
"Hey, that's my girlfriend you're flirting with." Lando complains, pulling me into his chest while Elaine and I laugh.
"Have you seen Logan?" I ask Oscar, who had been silently watching the scene with a small smile on his face. He shakes his head. "No, but he did say he was on his way." I nod.
Logan placed p9 today, his best result yet. I have every intention to take a few celebratory shots with him.
A new song begins to play, and I recognize it as one of Lando's favorites. We seem to have the same thought, as he looks to me at the same time I look to him.
He undoes his arm from around by neck and leads me away from the group and begins to dance with me. His hands are firmly planted on my hips, and they guide me with him as we dance.
He spins me around, pulling me by my waist so that my back is flush against his chest. "You're so gorgeous." He kisses the skin right below my ear in between each word. It makes me inhale sharply and hold the breath in as he continues to place kisses across my neck and jawline.
"Lan, stop." I turn around to face him, placing a decent about of distance between the two of us, but his hands don't leave my hips. "What?" He smiles innocently.
I tilt my head at him, a retort trying to conjure up in my foggy mind. Thankfully, the sight of Logan entering the club saves me.
Some sort of excited noise comes from me as I leave Lando's grip and make quick moves toward Logan.
"Ah! Hi! You're here!" I shout before throwing my arms around his middle, lying my head against his chest like he's a human teddy bear. He pulls me away by my shoulders.
"You're drunk?" It's more of a statement than a question, but I shake my head anyway. "No. No, just a couple drinks. I can still somewhat make coherent thoughts." He laughs, shaking his head at me.
"Oh! P9! Congrats on that, man." I poke him in the chest as I congratulate him. He laughs again, but it's kind of off. Like almost nervous, and he's looking over at someone else behind me.
I follow his gaze to find an approaching Lando on the other end. I scoff. "Oh please, he's not gonna do anything to you. Doesn't really seem to get jealous, like, ever so." I shrug my shoulders, finishing my sentence right as Lando catches up to us.
One of his arms go around my neck. "Hey p9, congrats on that!" Lando holds out his hand and they do that handshake thing that all guys seem to just know.
I'm about to make some comment along the lines of "I told you so" to Logan, but another scene interrupts my thoughts.
Elaine is practically sprinting out the club, Oscar following close behind, yelling her name after her.
I go to follow the two, to see what it's all about, but Lando's hand around mine pulls me back. I look up at him, about to yell at him and demand he let me go, but he speaks first. "Let them talk it out. I know you want to help but it's probably best not to." Lando's soberly advises, and I curse him silently for being so right.
