Sav's pov

I haven't been to a single race since I broke up with Lando, afraid everything was still too fresh to see his face again. Tonight is the first time I'll be back in the paddock since silverstone.

At first, I wasn't sure if I wanted to show up. But I had already missed COTA, and I didn't want to miss another one of Logan's home races. Especially since in the last few months, he's been the only person to constantly check up on me. Oscar has checked in a few times, but only on behalf of Logan.

"If I'm late because of you, I will never pay for your flight ever again." Logan says, trying to wake me up, even though it's four in the afternoon. I shove my head underneath the pillow, to block out his loud voice and the light from the sun.

"You literally wouldn't let me pay." I point out to him, my voice muffled because it's shoved into the mattress. "It was bribery. Now get up, we're cutting it close already." He says impatiently, shaking me by my shoulders.

With a loud and over dramatic groan, I get out of bed, standing idle for a moment before digging through my suitcase to find the outfit I'd planned in my head.

A fluffy white sweater and a pair of light blue straight legged jeans paired with my white converse. A simple outfit, but who's going to care? I'm not a wag anymore.

A lot of people, that's who's going to care. FP1 was red flagged because of a drain issue, poor Carlos. And I made the mistake during the flag of opening twitter.

Bad, bad idea. I was somehow trending, all because I'm trying to support my best friend.

But they weren't talking about what I was wearing, they were talking about me just being there. Most of the tweets were all about wanting to see a 'savando' interaction (a name they picked, not us). And laughing about how I have to see two exes at once.

"Have you seen Lando yet tonight?" Lily speaks up beside me. I shake my head. "No, but I have to return some stuff to him at some point this weekend. So it's inevitable."

The bracelet and earrings he gave me for my birthday last year. They were too expensive for me to keep.

"I can do it for you if you'd like." I almost take her up on the offer, but part of me wants to know how he's doing. Obviously I'd seen how he's doing career wise, winning half the races since Silverstone. I want to know how he's doing like, emotionally.

"I should be the one to do it, thanks anyway though." Lily nods and Alex appears by her side.

"You look like you've seen a ghost." Logan laughs, pointing a finger at my face. I laugh sarcastically, a slight mimic of his laugh.

"Didn't see one, thought of one though." Logan laughs, picking up quickly on what I meant. The two of us walk off down the hall where is driver's room is located. "Glad you thought it was funny."

The earring and the bracelet boxes are still on the table where I originally placed them. I open the box that holds the necklace, looking it over one last time before closing the lid again. "I'll be back." I tell Logan, leaving out the door a second later with both boxes in hand.
