Sav's pov.Trying to rent a car and then dealing with a paddock full of people after an eleven hour flight is definitely not for the weak.
I even slept on the plane to try and prevent some jet lag, but I was still tired. I got ten whole hours of sleep, too.
"Savannah!" The American accent behind me is unmistakable. Turning around, Logan's making a slow jog my way. Eva's trailing behind him.
He pulls me into a hug, taking me a few inches off the ground with ease. "I thought you were in Miami?" He asks when he sets me back down, the three of us taking up a quick walk down the paddock, Logan in the middle.
"I was, but I got done with the album and I didn't want to sit at home alone." I shrug both of my shoulders.
"So missing Oscar had nothing to do with this decision?" Logan reads right through me. That was also a very large factor.
I bite the inside of my lip. "Hey Eva, how have you been?" I turn to the blonde girl, trying to change the subject. She laughs at my question, knowing exactly what I'm doing. "No, no. You don't get to use my girlfriend to avoid my questions." He laughs, pulling Evaline closer to his side.
"Okay, maybe, yes. Just a little, though!" I confess, while still watering it down. "Mhm, sure." Logan nods along to his sarcastic words.
"Does he know you're here?" He asks. I shake my head. "Figured. Who gave you the passes, then?" He points a finger to the multiple laminated lanyards hanging around my neck.
"Pato." I answer. "I swear he's god sent."
"Maybe now that you're here, he'll shut up about you." Eva hits him in the arm. "Ow! What? You don't think it's a little repetitive?" He asks her. She shakes her head, her eyebrows strewn together, looking at him like he's lost his mind. "No, I think it's cute."
"I'm sure you do." Logan says. Eva's look turns offended. "What's that supposed to mean?" The both of us ask at the same time.
Logan turns visibly panicked, eyes darting from one of us to the other. "Nothing! Just that she- you guys are more- uh- romantic so-" He's cut off by Eva. "You could try being romantic for once."
He turns even more panicked, bordering on fully frightened. "I- wh- uh-" I contemplate taking myself out of the conversation, figuring it's one I shouldn't be present for, but Eva starts laughing, her head thrown back. "Your face!" She imitates his frightened expression, doing a pretty accurate job of it.
"You are plenty romantic." She taps him twice in the chest with her hand. Logan looks confused, afraid, and relieved at the same time. "I thought I was going to be sleeping outside tonight." Logan laughs awkwardly.
By the time that conversation was over, we'd already made it to McLaren's hospitality. "I'll see you two later, yeah?" I ask the both of them. In sync, they nod their heads. I laugh lightly.
I find Pato sitting at a high top table eating his breakfast, his back turned to me. I throw an arm around his shoulders, and he turns to me, a curious look on his face. "Sav!" He says through a mouthful of food.
He gives me a small side hug, and finishes chewing. "Oscar's in his room." He gestures in its general direction. "Thank you, and thank you again for these passes." I tell him. He waves me off. "It's no problem, they would've just collected dust anyway." I laugh at his joke, and give him another short hug.
I refrain from sprinting off to his room, settling for a more sane looking speed walk instead.
I give his door three gentle taps. It swings open not long after. He's not looking up at me, but down at his team kit trying to rub a small patch of dirt out of it. "Hey Kim can you-" He finally looks up, his words stopping in their tracks.
"Oh my god." His voice is breathy, as if looking at a hidden wonder of the world. He seems to be frozen in place, his eyes running up and down my body as if to double-tripple-quadruple check that it's actually me.
"Oh my god." He repeats, this time with more confidence. He pulls me into his room, closing the door behind me. He does another scan over my body before he grabs me by the side of the face and kisses me hard.
I let him back me up into the door. The kiss is needy and hungry, like the both of us are starved lions. My hands are all over him, running under his shirt, and along his arms. I squeeze his biceps, the muscles under my hands flexing.
One of his hands is all over my cheek, then it's tangling in my hair before settling on my collarbone. I'm certain he can feel the rapid beating of my heart. His other hand is firm on my lower back, pulling me impossibly close to him.
His lips leave mine, trailing down to my jaw and stopping at the spot under my ear, and lightly sucking on it. I gasp, tightening my grip on his arms. He chuckles lowly.
His hand on my back trails down to my ass and he gives it a squeeze. Something between a whine and squeak comes out of me. My head falls against his shoulder.
I can feel his smile as he places another kiss on the shell of my ear. "Missed you so much." He whispers. All I do is nod, his touch making me lose my mind. His other hand also finds my ass, and he lifts he off the ground.
My back leaves the door, and I wrap my legs around his waist. With me still wrapped around him, he sits down on the couch. I bring my face up to his, giving him four-five-six short pecks on his lips.
"I missed you, too." I whisper, my lips hovering over his. I kiss him again. This one isn't fueled by hunger or need. It's gentle, but still carries the same amount of passion.
My head falls to his shoulder again.
I'm unsure if it's the jet lag, or if it's the comforting way his fingers run through my hair and along the length of my back, but I'm struggling to stay awake. Each blink becoming heavier.
I hear him chuckle lightly. "Are you tired?" He asks. "No." I answer, an obvious lie as my eyelids have become too heavy to open my eyes again. I didn't want him to make me go and take a nap.
"Oscar we've got to- Oh!" Kim sounds horrified. Lazily, I roll off of Oscar's lap and sit next to him instead. "Are you guys... dressed?" He asks hesitantly, shielding his eyes with his hand.
"Yes. We were only sitting here." Oscar sounds both annoyed and amused. He stands, offering a hand out to me. I take it, and stand next to him.
He reaches past me, taking his wallet from the shelf. He pulls a Hilton card out of it. "Go take a nap." He advises, handing me the white hard. "I could just take five shots of espresso." I object. "Yes, and then you'll have a heart attack." He makes a very valid point.
I give up with a huff, taking the card from him. "I'll be back before qualifying." I tell him. "I know you will."

A nap wasn't enough. I still feel drowsy after another three hours of sleep.
My head is back on his shoulder—or rather against his side, but we're in the garage this time. He's chatting casually to his engineers while my eyes are closed. He keeps an arm loosely around my waist.
I'd zoned out their conversation, most of it being about stuff I knew little about.
Until one of them said something very interesting.
"I heard they're replacing Alonso with a girl."
I was wide awake at that, my head popping up, and my eyes wide open. "A girl? Seriously?" The smile on my face is so big, I probably look insane. "I thought you were asleep." Oscar comments. "I'm definitely not anymore."
