Hiccup's P.o.v.

I just stared at my hand for a few minutes, trying to move it slowly. It hurt, but not as much as I expected it to. Slowly, I sat up a little and looked over at Toothless. He was still motionless on the floor, but I could see that he was breathing softly. Then I looked to the table and smiled. Tooth was not as smart as she had thought she is. I stood up and walked over to the table. She had forgotten to take my phone away. I quickly took it and wrote North a message. I explained to him what had happened and asked him to pick me up immediately. But I told him to wait outside and a little further away. This time I wouldn't let myself get pushed down by others again. After I waited a few minutes and there was no answer I sighed and walked over to my bed and sat down on the edge. Then I gently took Toothless in my arms. He whined a little and looked at me. In his eyes I could clearly see pain. I gently petted his little stomach and sighed. I couldn't wait for North to answer me. I put Toothless beside me and took my bag. I looked out the window. First floor... But I would be able to hold on to the climbing plants on the wall... Luckily I was small and not very heavy that means they would be able to hold me. I put my bag on my bed and opened the zipper. Then I took some clothes and stuffed them in and made a little hollow. After that I took Toothless and put him into the hole very carefully. Then I closed the zipped but let it open a little bit so Toothless would have enough air to breathe. Carefully, I put my bag on and took my phone and stuffed it into my pocket. Then I walked over to the window and started to climb out. I almost slipped because I didn't wore any shoes but I was able to catch me. I climbed out the window and but my foot onto one of the thicker plants. When I was sure that it would hold me, I started to climb down the plants. I climbed down until the plant ended but I wasn't fully down yet but I wasn't that far away from the ground. "Hold on Toothless...", I whispered and jumped down the rest. When I landed I slipped and landed on my butt. Groaning, I stood up and brushed my butt off. "Toothless, are you okay?"

I heard a faint mewing and smiled. Then I looked around and crept around the house. Fortunately, my bare feet were a lot more quiet than shoes. I ran to the street and looked around. Luckily I was able to remember the way to Norths house. Sighing I started to walk down the street in in the direction of Norths house. Again and again I had to be careful that I didn't step in broken glass or any dirt. Finally, my phone vibrated. I took it out of my pocked and tapped on the message.

North: "So she was the person Jack meant? Should I come and get you now?"

Me: "No, you don't need to come here. I managed to climb down the window and now I'm on the way to you. You don't happen to know a vet?"

North: "A vet? Yes, a good friend of mine is a vet but why would you need him at a time like this?"

Me: "I have a very young cat and Tooth kicked him. I'm very sure that he is injured and needs medical help."

North: "Good thing he's my neighbor. I'll go get him. Hurry up so you won't run in bad people again."

I chuckled and told him that I would be there in a few minutes. Then I put my phone back in my pocket and looked up at the sky. It was a very clear night sky and the stars were shining bright. So I had managed to free myself all alone... Why did anyone want me in the first place? I am small, weak and rather clumsy sometimes. Besides, I already belong to someone... I smiled softly. Jack, I'll find you, don't worry.

After a few minutes I had arrived at Norths house and he let me in. He introduced me to his neighbor Sandy. He was built quite small, had blonde hair and soft eyes. He talked with North while he took care of Toothless. He was very careful and after a few minutes he injected Toothless some medicine and explained North something. But I didn't really listen. I just watched Toothless while he slept peacefully. It was my fault that he was hurt now. He wanted to protect me... When Sandy left, North looked at me worriedly.

"Are you alright Hiccup? Did she do anything to you?", he asked me concerned.

"My hand hurts a little but it's bearable. Can I sleep somewhere?", I asked and looked up at him. Everything that happened took a lot from my energy and made me tired...

"You can sleep in the old room from Jack. He had slept there before he moved to the other house a few weeks ago. You only have to change the sheets because they are still from him."

"Uhm..." I was too embarrassed to admit that I didn't want to change the sheets. Maybe they even smell a bit like him? Oh man, I'm so weird.

"Okay, I get it." North laughed softly and took my bag. "Come on, I'll show you where your room is. Do you want Toothless with you or do you want him to stay here on the couch?"

I looked at Toothless and he looked like he was very comfortable.

"No, he can stay here. He is sleeping deeply and I don't want to wake him up after everything that had happened."

He nodded and then we walked down the hallway to the last room. He opened the door for me and let me in. Everything was kept in a light blue tone and here and there were pictures of Jack and North. The room looked a lot different than the one in the new house. Maybe he just wasn't finished with his new room yet?

North entered the room after me and put my bag down on the bed.

"I see you've only taken a few things with you.", he said. "And your pants are dirty too. So if you want.." He opened the closet door. "You can take Jack things too. I don't think that he would have a problem with that."

I blushed a little when I remembered how he once had lent me his pants and what happened after that... But then I finally nodded.

"Thank you so much North. For taking me in and everything else too.", I thanked him and smiled.

"Jack loves you and that mean I have to take care of you. Otherwise he'll kill me." North laughed but then it faded to a smile.

"Sleep well Hiccup. And tomorrow we will go to the police and tell them about Tooth. It's pretty good that she told you everything about what she had done. That will make it a lot more easier to find Jack."

"North... she said she would take care of Jack tomorrow..."

North sighed. "I know. Tomorrow we will just get up very early and go to police as soon as possible. So go to sleep now. You will need your energy tomorrow."

I nodded and smiled. "Goodnight North and I'm sure we'll find him."

He nodded and smiled softly. "I hope so too. Good night." He left the room and closed the door behind him.

I sighed and looked at the bed. It was made very messy and looked as if no one had even touched it over the weeks. I smiled softly and sat down on the bed and then laid down. Then I took the blanket and pulled it over me. Even though it was very weak, I could smell Jack. While it was totally dark in the room and only the moon shone through the window, I felt safe. Jack had been here... he lived here for a long time... I smiled softly and pulled the blanket higher. Soon we would be together again. I could feel it.
