Hiccup's P.o.v.

Everything was black and my entire body ached. Not to mention the incredibly painful headache that was annoying me too. Where am I now? Am I dead? Has Pitch finally decided to bring it to an end and kill me? And I always thought that when you die all the pain goes away... Either I was wrong or still alive. I didn't even know if I wanted to live anymore... I remembered Jack and his beautiful and soft smile that always played around his lips when he looked at me. I have no choice. I have to live. For Jack. I just wanted to belong to Jack and always be with him because I knew that he would always treat me good. He would even carry me around on his hands if I asked him. He is everything for me...

Slowly the pain started to get worse and a faint beeping came into my ears. What is that...? It was very steady and sounded like the beeping thing where people are connected to in hospitals... Wait a minute. Am I in a hospital? How did I get here? The beeping was getting louder and I slowly opened my eyes only to immediately close them again. It was too bright for my eyes and the lights burned too much in them. So I was still living... I heard two quiet voices a little away from me and they were talking but suddenly they became quiet.

"He wakes up! Wait, I'll get the doctor.", I heard a man's voice say and finally heard him leave the room with quick and heavy steps. I heard a second pair of steps but much lighter and quieter than the other person. Probably a woman. But she didn't walk out of my room like the other person did but she walked in my direction and stopped right in front of my bed. I wish I could open my eyes without the light burning like fire... How long was I out? I sighed internally. I also couldn't move my arm and wasn't able to breathe through my nose. I could only breath through my mouth.

I heard her write down something then she sighed and put down her pen and her documents on the table. Then she seemed to do nothing even though I could feel her eyes on me. I tried to open my eyes again and they just opened a little bit so I could somehow endure the light. My vision was a little blurry but I could see the woman standing in front of my bed. She smiled softly at me and just wanted to say something but then I heard heavy footsteps in the corridor coming to us.

"Oh, doctor.", she said and stepped to the said to give him a better sight of me. He sighed and looked over me and then searched through his papers. Again and again I had to close my eyes and it was very hard to keep them open. The doctor was built pretty big. He was large and even a little fat and he had a white beard. I kind of wondered how someone with a beard like that could operate someone.

"Hiccup Haddock the Third?", he asked me. Unlike most people, he seemed not to be amused by my name and just was very serious.

I tried to say yes but just a little croak came out of my mouth and I immediately started to cough. While I was struggling with the coughing and trying to calm down because the pain was pretty awful. The coughing let my body shake which made it even worse. The doctor meanwhile took a chair and sat down next to my bed. Then he took a glass of water and showed it to me before he finally put it to my mouth and slowly let me drink it. Slowly I drank it but I was a little embarrassed about the fact that I couldn't even drink alone. I finished the entire glass and the coughing disappeared. My eyes had gotten used to the bright light and I could finally open them fully. He put the empty glass down on the table and looked shortly at me in a worried way and then looked back to his papers.

"You have many injuries.", he started and sighed. "Your right hand is sprained and your left arm broken just like a few ribs and your nose. You have bad bruises in many places for example on your neck and your back. We also were able to avoid an internal bleeding in your head that was probably caused by a violent collision with something hard. Since the person who had called the emergency services had also pointed it out, we have also checked you.. well... Lets just say there are no traces of rape. You were also two weeks in something like a coma. I'll ask another time what had happened but before that I have a more important question." He slowly looked up from his notes and in my eyes.
