Hiccup's P.o.v.

The next day we drove to the police very early, like North had promised. We had told them everything about Toothianna and what happened but they were unsure. They searched through their computer and found out that Tooth apparently had a second address that seemed strange to them, but they couldn't do anything without any proof. Of course, they immediately started to investigate her case but that would take way too long. I pointed out several times that she would probably take care of Jack today - and not in a good way - but they ignored it and sent us back home. Well at least they thought they did. There was one thing the police didn't know. They didn't know how stubborn I and North were and we couldn't wait until they would find out anything. We knew ourselves that she was guilty, even though we couldn't prove it. Luckily they had shown us the address for a moment so I could still remember it and we could search there ourselves.

The address led us to an old factory like building that looked as if it would collapse in itself any moment. That made me even more certain of this. Why would Tooth need an old factory? Even more since it's so far away from the city? While we drove here something build up inside of me... It was not fear or anxiety... I wasn't scared that something could maybe happen to me. Even more the exact opposite. I had gathered every little thing inside of me and became incredibly determined that if Jack would be in that building, I would save him. Even if it would cost my own life. Also, I was hoping that we wouldn't meet Toothianna. I hoped it for her. Sure, I was not particularly strong or could fight in any way but if I would meet her, I could guarantee that I would not hold myself back. I also had North with me. We had expected that we would have to fight against anyone who would try to keep us away from Jack, therefore we discussed that he would go in first and I would follow behind him. Even when I first didn't want to agree because I just wanted to burst into the factory and search for Jack, I said yes. After all he was right. I would only hurt myself more than I still am and was only able to move one arm fully.

I sighed quietly and whispered to myself : "Now or never." Then I opened the car door only to be greeted by an icy wind that send shivers down my spine. Even when it was summer already, it was unusually cold. I got out of the car and looked around while I quietly closed the door from the car. North did the same and locked the car.

"So that's the address...?", North asked and slowly looked to me. He looked at me as if he wanted to ask me if I really was sure that this was the address. Also, I saw concern in his eyes. He knew that I was rather weak and didn't want that anything would happen to me but he knew that no one can hold me back from this now. I was too determined.

I nodded and walked slowly around the car and to North. "Yes, it must be it. Somewhere here has to be Jack..."

"Then let's go.", North said firmly. I nodded and then we made our way to the entrance. While North tried to open the door which didn't want to move, I looked around. I had to admit that I was a little nervous. Who knows how many guys she had on her side? Maybe the guys from her are even worse than Pitch? After all, she even had Pitch under control for some time...

North pulled and pushed against the door but it appeared to be blocked by something. He sighed and gave up.

"It won't open."

"But we need to get in there somehow!", I said a little louder than I wanted to. He nodded and took a step away from the door. Confused, I looked at him but he just looked at the door.

"Back off a little.", he ordered me and I nodded and walked back a few steps. Did he wanted to...?

Just as I had thought he finally kicked the door in and it fell down with a loud bang. Now they would have noticed us for sure. At least if someone is here. But it remained silent. Were we at the wrong place? Slowly we walked into the empty building and looked around. It consisted of a very large hall with a very high ceiling which was supported by pillars that looked like they would collapse any moment. Everything seemed old and rotten. It was incredibly stuffy as if you just came into a car that stood too long in the sun. But it wasn't warm. No the exact opposite was the case. It was freezing.

"There's nothing in here." North sighed and walked more in the middle of the hall.

But I didn't want to give up just now. Jack had to be here... somewhere... I could feel it. I jogged down the hall until I saw a door at the other end. It was pretty unnoticable that's why we haven't seen it first.

"North!" He looked at me while I pointed to the door.

He nodded and we both walked up to the door. I put my hand on the door handle and pushed it down slowly. The door opened easily but immediately a loud alarm like sound echoed throughout the hall.

"Crap!", cursed North and looked around. I finally yanked the door completely open and didn't care about the loud bang it made when it hit the wall. If anyone was here, they would have heard us anyways. The open door now allowed me to now see a passage that led down with some hard stone stairs. When I was about to run to the stairs, I heard shouting behind me. Immediately I turned around and saw how North fought with a couple of guys. They were about five I think but he didn't seem to have any problems with them.

"Hiccup, go further and look for Jack! I'll take care of them!", he yelled while he punched one of them in the jaw that I could hear the crack even from the distance. I nodded and turned back to the stairs.

"Hey, wait!", shouted one of the guys and I heard footsteps but they were cut off after a few seconds.

"I'm not done with you yet!", North shouted and seemed to take care of my follower. I smiled lightly and ran down the stairs. I don't think it's a good idea to make North angry. Note to myself: Thank North later.

I almost stumbled over a few of the stairs which made my adrenaline pump even more through my blood than it had done before. I pushed all thought aside and concentrated on my mission: Find Jack. When I finally reached the end of the stairs, I saw a long corridor. Left and right were many doors. Did Toothianna keep so many persons in here...? It seemed almost as if I was walking through an ancient dungeon while I crept down the corridor. I concentrated and tried to listen for any noise but there only was silence. Until I suddenly could hear a faint snore. I stopped and looked around. A little further on the left was a turn and from that direction came the snoring. As quietly as I could, I crept to the wall and peeked around the corner. At the end of the corridor I could see a guy leaned back in a chair, sleeping deeply. I raised an eyebrow and looked at him a little surprised. Seems as if the cellar here is pretty good at keeping noises away when he is able to sleep like this. When I decided to just leave him alone and wanted to look around more, I finally heard a noise like a pair of keys which hit each other. I looked around the corner again and finally noticed that the guy had a bunch of keys attached to his belt. That keys must be for the cells... I sighed and leaned against the wall behind me. Should I try to get the keys alone or should I wait for North? But what if every moment Toothianna comes in here or North simply isn't able to come down here because he still had to fight with those guys?

"Hey, you.", I heard it suddenly whisper behind me. I jumped a little off the wall. Or at least I thought it was a wall. Actually it was a door I was leaning against before. At the top I could see two brown eyes staring at me through the small barred window. He smiled, amused by my probably pretty frightened facial expression and gestured me to come closer. Slightly uncertain about what to do, I crept back to the door and looked up at him. Beside his brown eyes he had rather wild dark blonde hair and seemed like a normal person actually. Even though he looked a bit dirty.

"Are you one of those, or do you want to save someone down here, midget?", he finally asked me with a slightly rough voice.

"I-I want to save someone here...", I stuttered quietly and furrowed my eyebrows slightly, not amused by the nickname he had given me.

"Well, then listen to me now. I'll help you get those keys if you help me get out after."
