I gave Amy full examination. Thanked God, she didn’t get many injuries beside bruises on her arms, some wound on her feet and a cut on her lip.

Jessie already cleaned her and put her on comfy clothes. We would let her rest so her body could heal.

The hardest part to healed would be her mind. She experienced nearly kidnapping, and the most horrible, she watched us killing them. I didn’t know how she would reacted when she was awake.

‘Meet me in the office’

Alex mind linked me when I put my equipment inside the box. I closed my equipment box and looked at Jessie.

“Watch her out, Jessie. This time, don’t let your eyes off of her.“

She nodded. Her eyes were red after crying. She regretted it so much. I didn’t blame her though. She said Amy wanted to have fresh air because she's overwhelmed by the crowd. She was good enough to aware of Amy’s missing after just a few minutes she’s gone.

I walked out of Amy’s room to Alex’s office. Everyone was already there.

“We let our guard down. We didn’t expect the attack from the hunters. Furthermore, they attack her.”

Alex started. The others listened to him seriously.

“Were they one of our students?“ Edward asked.

Henry shook his head.
“No, I’ve never seen them. We did crosschecked three times to make sure our students had nothing to do with the hunters. We also checked their backgrounds and their bloodlines.” He added.

“They dressed like one of our students, so they knew that we threw a costume party. They also knew the quiet part of our school.“ William spoke too. Yes.. The place where Amy was attacked was covered by trees and located behind a building that rarely used by people.

“There must be more of them. Maybe they are spreaded in our school, looking for information, and when they saw Amy, they wanted to interrogate her. Amy resisted and they hit her.“ I explained my mind.

Many things were around our mind right now. We tried to find the perfect answer to what happened, but still found the dead end.

“What did he say when you asked the astronaut?“ Theo asked.

“He said nothing. He just heatened up the situation. He said they will rise” Alex told everyone.

"They weren't afraid to die."Lucifer chimed in.

There must be some explanation about it. The hunters didn't make any big move for a quiet long time. Maybe it's something to do with the black poison.

"What was about their body you told me before." I asked Alex.

He raised his eyes, then looked at Henry. Henry was aware of the eyes toward himself and started to speak.

"About that..yeah.. Alex told me he smelled something in their blood. So I took some samples and run it in the lab. The results wasn't finished yet, but from the smell I could say that there is a substance in their blood that also in the black poison. I don't know what they did, but it must be something related to the strange behavior of the vampires we encountered last time."

"How about their strength. You said their body was harder to break.

" Yes.. They had thicker muscle mass. They must used some medicine or something that make their body stronger. And I put my money on the black poison."

"How if they make an experiment to make themselves stronger. They take immortal's blood and use it as a steroid to gain immortal's strength, like the one we killed."

"The bad experiment gave us black poison, and good experiment gave us those culprits." Lucifer said again.

Lucifer rarely said something in the meeting. This time he spoke more. It made me thinking that he's really serious about this matter because it had something to do with Amy. The soulmate thing was really existed.

Nobody said anything after that. They were busy with their own mind. Until William spoke.

“How if we ask Amy when she wake up?“ Lucifer opened his mouth, but we didn’t really like his question.

“I don’t think it will be good” Henry chimed in.

“Yeah.. She just experienced a traumatized scene and questioning her would like open up her wound.” I explained from my point of view.

“But it can be good too. She was the one who experienced it. They must said something to her.” Theo opened up his mouth, but like Lucifer’s, we didn’t really like it.

We watched Alex, waiting for his decision. He looked at us, inhaled and exhaled his breath.

“Alright. We’ll ask her, but after making sure she was okay with it. We have to make sure she was healed not only from the wounds on her body, but also the wound in her mind.”

We finally nodded. Even I didn’t want to admit it, asking her was the best option to solve the mystery. I hope she didn’t be traumatized with it.

Suddenly a ring could be heard so loud came from the phone on the table. Alex's phone. He walked toward it and picked it up.

He spoke with someone in the phone for a while. But we could see that he's not happy with it. After that he put his phone back on the table.

"That's Rebecca. She said Darius was missing."

Rebecca was one of our friend. She was with us in many wars and stayed with us for years back then. She found her mate and settled down in a small town in England. Darius was her mate.

"What happened?" Theo asked.

"She said she was supposed to meet him for a date, but he was late. He then sent a message that he couldn't come because he had an important work to do." Alex sat on his chair, and continued.

"After that he didn't come home for days. We know Darius could be very serious toward his job, and so does Rebecca. She didn't called him because he would ignore her anyway. Furthermore, he sent messages saying he was busy and all."

"That's not suspicious. Why she said he's missing?" Edward asked.

"You know Rebecca has some sort of power to sense danger, right? So she's worried and came to his office. Guess what, he didn't show up for days. The last time he checked out was the day they should meet for the date."

"It's mean, he was gone that day. But where?" Henry opened his mouth.

"Rebecca said he sent messages but they didn't sound like him. Darius rarely send messages, he called her instead."

"Maybe it's not him"

"Yeah.. I thought so."

"I will call people who can trace his phone." William stood and took his phone. Then he walked out of Alex's office.

"I will call people who could check on the footage." Henry also stood and walked out.

"Okay.. You guys could do whatever to help her. I will handle the other problem. We will discuss again later, and don't forget to check on Amy's condition."

We nodded and walked out. I went to my room and kept the box I brought earlier.

I sat on my chair when Theo mindlinked me.

"Amy's awake!"
