I felt very tired. Nothing could made me tired more than paperwork. I could spend the whole day lifting heavy things, or fight werewolves in the battles. But, doing paperwork.. That's such a very very very boring job.

I was built to do hardcore works, not some documents works. I hated doing papers! I felt liked I wanted to punch this laptop so I didn't have to do more paperwork.

I should accept Theo's help. Earlier, he offered to help me doing my papers. But I declined it with the reason 'this is my job'. Well.. Half of the reason was because Alex was looking at me. I had left many paperwork to Theo or William for several times. This time Alex would be furious to see me doing it again. So I declined Theo's help. But my hatred toward paperwork would still be there, like the paperwork itself, shaping a vertical mountain on my desk.

I hated paperwork!

I decided, doing exercise would be great to burn some boredom. So I prepared my gear to go to a gym near the city. Please asked who the owner is, because I would love to answer, 'that'd be me'.

Yes, I owned the gym, with several gyms not only on this city, but also abroad.

The gym was so big and sophisticated. Every gears were brand new and taken care very well. I paid my employees well so they could do their job well.

First floor was filled with equipment. Second floor was showers. Ground floor was boxing arena and store rooms, and the third floor was for the employees.

I still remembered when I was a weak young boy. It was long time ago, when there was a pledge in my country. It attacked young children and many of them were died. I was one of them.

I always dreamed about doing heroic things, like helping the cat down from the tree like one of my neighbor, when his girlfriend's cat climbed the tree but couldn't down. Or when a little girl drowned in the lake. I just could see her drowning because I was too weak to do it. My feet were paralyzed and I sat on my wheel chair. Thanked God someone could save her.

My body was so weak. I could see each bones popped out every time I made a movement. My hands were also skinny, I barely could lifted anything. My mom was the strongest person for me. She took care of me while doing her job as a cleaner in one of a factory. Poor lady, she got a cancer from her job cleaning the toxic waste for them. She died next to me on the bed. She just slept in the night and never woke up after that. I cried for her for a few days. I lost the only person who loved me and took care of me. With her gone, I couldn't do anything but waiting for my turn to die beside her body.

That's when Alex came.

"Looks like I need a strong man like you, boy!"

It was blurry. I hadn't left the bed for 4 days and along that, I didn't eat anything. I barely could opened my eyes.

Hearing him saying I was a strong man, make me wondering who he is.

After that, he changed me and I lost my consciousness. When I opened my eyes, I was in a different place and I felt different too.

I was no longer a skinny sick boy with popped out bones and weak body. I had a pair of strong feet, strong hands and clear eyes. I could see a spider designing its web in the far away corner.

The only thing that made me uncomfortable was the thirst that I never felt before. A man named Henry gave me a glass of red liquid and I drank it like I'd never drink in my whole life.

From that moments, I was bounded to Alex, Henry and William in a mansion. They taught me everything I know, changed me from skinny to brawny. Popped out bones into popped out muscles. From paralyzed in bed or wheelchair to joining in the battles and wars. My mom would never recognized me if she was still alive.

Every moments were better now. I could meet many people, doing many things, and I could be Alex's number one bodyguard. Like my name means in old English language, a protector or a guardian. I also met the rest of the clan. Theo, Daniel and last, Lucifer. They all became my friends now. Even more than friends.

I stopped my car in the parking lot. It was always packed. The gym was also busy today. So, there I was, in my gym, doing press ups.

I loved exercises. I loved to keep my body in a good shape. And I loved seeing my muscles were well-built. It was liked taking care of a baby. My muscle baby.

I hope my future soulmate would liked to do exercise too. If she wouldn't, I'd love to show her reasons to do exercise. Then we could do it together. Liked the video I saw on TikTok. A soldier man doing pull up while his girlfriend sat on his lap. Each time he pulled up, he would kiss her. That's my romantic kind of thing.

After my T-shirt was drenched with sweat, I stopped. I washed my sweaty body in the shower. Then I climbed into my Lexus and drove off.

I went to a gas station to refill the gas. It was self service, so I had to do it by myself. I entered the shop to pay. In the process, I grabbed some beers to bring home. Even I had plenty of them in my room, I always needed more. Blame my alcoholic addiction.

Well.. Human alcohol wasn't strong enough to make a vampire drunk. It's just like soda to me, but with less sugar.

When I stood next to the cashier, I smelled something sweet until the front door.

"Was there someone before me?" I tried to ask him.

He looked up and nodded, "Yes. It was Amy. She is one of the employees here. She had finished her shift."

I hurriedly paid and went out. I tried to follow the scents, but it's stopped to the parking lot and went by the wind. Maybe she entered a car and went away.

I back in the shop and asked the cashier, "do you know where she lived?"

"Sorry, folk. I just know her name. We never talk to each other."

I nodded, "thanks anyway"

I finished my business and went home. I couldn't wiped away the scents from my mind along the road. She had the sweetest smell I've ever encountered.

When I parked the car, I saw Theo's car also stopped. There were Theo, Alex and Henry, coming out of it.

Theo looked furious, while Alex and Henry looked determined. What's going on with them?
