William pov

The sun was so high in the sky. Thanked God the mindows of the car was tinted to prevent the sun beam harshly into our eyes.

One of the perks being a vampire was a super sight, but it didn't come super handy when you were outside on the daylight. The sun rays made your sense overwhelmed.

If Henry didn't create a potion to relax our eyes' nerves on the daytime, we were definitely never went out of the mansion before the night time. So, thanked Henry for that.

His potion now available for purchase and always on top of the needed medicine list for vampires. It also made him super rich, along with his other potions he'd created.

I saw Amy was stirring and slowly opened her eyes.

“Are we there yet?“

She spoke with a raspy voice. Theo handed her a bottle of water. She drank it with a drop or two fell on her chin. I could see everyone watched it with something inside their minds.

“Not yet, Princess.” Alex answered after dismissed his dirty thought. I could guess what’s going on in his head.

Looked like everyone still had her image in their mind. They couldn't get rid of it easily. It imprinted so deep already. I said that because it did to me. No matter how much I put the effort to think about anything else, it always came back again. Now thinking about it, I totally understand if the others imagined the scene would getting further.

Amy sat and scrubbed her eyes. Then we heard it, her stomach grumbled. She tried to hide it, but we knew better.

“Are you hungry, Princess?“

Her cheek were blushing.

“We could stop now. There’s a diner ahead. We can take quick break and have lunch there.“

Everyone agreed to Alex's plan , especially Amy who nodded her head vigorously. Alex sent the order to everyone else to take a break. When we saw the sign of the diner, we turned and stopped.

Two cars parked in front of the diner. Edward was the first to go out, and Lucifer. They did a quick scan through the area before gave us the safe sign to go out of the cars.

This area was in our territory. In the North side, there’s a pack of werewolves lived near the river. On the South Side, there’s a clan of vampires who lived nearby.

They lived peacefully together since the second daughter of the pack was the soulmate of the third son of the clan's leader. They always worked together and made parties together. It led them to get a few more soulmate couples. It already happened for years. Their teamwork secured their future up ahead.

It's lovely to see different creatures lived in harmony and worked together. And of course found loves together. Like us.

Alex and the leader of the clan was a close relatives. They maintained a close relationship and always helped whenever one of them needed.

A bell jingled when we entered the front door.

“Welcome to the Asha diner”

One of the waitress welcomed us. She was in her mid forties with her smile plastered on her face. She’s the owner of this diner.

Alex picked the seat near the window. Unfortunately there’s not enough seat for all of us in one table. We had to split up. Alex and Amy sat on one, Henry and Edward on the other one. Theo, Lucifer and I took the seat next to them. We decided it since Theo and I already with Amy for a while and Lucifer needed to be further from Amy because of his sexual drive recently. He silently pouting protesting our decision. It brought grins to all of our faces.

“What can I get you today?“

The waitress came to us and offered us the menu.

Henry looked the entire menu and discuss it with Amy before ordering. Like usual, he wanted to make sure Amy ate good stuff.

After a few minutes dealing with it, Amy then order a beef patty burger and French fries. No soda was allowed and she just took a simple mineral water for drink. Thanked God, she was not a lover of sodas.

We didn’t need to eat human food. But we didn’t want Amy to feel she was alone. So we ordered some food we would like to try.

When the foods were served, we dug in with her. We chatted a little here and there. We were very happy when Amy shared things about herself.

"I do like listening to the music, but sometimes I prefer the silence. I can watch people around me do what they do, watch the flowers blooming, or the birds on the tree chirping. Or even just the wind blows passing me. Somehow it feel peacefully and made me sleep better in the night."

Or when she talk about her favorite movies, favorite food, her taste of music, and also her experience when she worked in different places.

“So one time, this jerk boy came in, and again, he made fun of the chubby cashier to the brim she almost crying, then he left her to take his usual snacks. But when he looked at the shelf and saw his usual snacks were up above the top of the highest shelf in the shop, his expression was priceless. He was just 5’6” and of course he couldn’t reach them.”

Edward and Theo had the biggest laugh of all of us. Alex also stiffed a snicker and Henry snorted a laughter. I of course muffled a grin with my hand. Not to the story but rather to see her glowing smile telling the story.

Watching her was my never ending delightness. Every feature of her face pulled me to record them in my long term memory. Her blue eyes, bright like the sky but deep like the ocean. Held me in captive and made me never wanted to go out. Her soft skin that glowed from the light, invited me to touch the silky surface every inch of it. Or her lips that forever made us wanted to kiss her right in the place we were. I could worship the ground she stood. She could take my heart out and I would still be her admirer.

Her voice was also like the best melody I could heard. She could speak for the entire time and I still couldn't feel bored listening to everything she said.

“To make the matter worse, we got rid all of the chairs and ladders that we always use to stacked the goods. Since he always had the big mouth to claim he didn’t need us, he couldn’t really ask for help”

All of us continued to watched her smile while telling the story. Several minutes passed and we all were finished. Henry paid for the meal and we went out of the diner.

Amy walked in the center of our group. She looked around while we just looked at her.

"This place is not busy. How the diner survive in this place?"

"Trust me, cupcake. There's a lot of people around here."

"But I can't see anyone but us" She spinned her body to look around us better, but not watching her front. She stepped on a rock and lost her balance.

I got her first and secured her body with my hand. What a soft creature she's.

I saw her flushing despite the panic she had earlier. Her fingers wrapped my hand and slightly shaking.

"Tha.. Thanks, William." She fixed her position and walked to the car again. This time with more focus to the road ahead her.

We entered our cars and continued our journey.

This time Alex was the driver. He insisted on us to switch, saying that I needed to take a rest after the journey earlier. I gladly took his offer, so I could watch Amy for the rest of the way to the beach house without worrying about had to watch the road ahead.
